Vice Presidential Debate Results: Need Second Kaine And Pence VP Debate About Trump’s PTSD Comments, Megyn Kelly, That Porn Video And Trump Heart Attack

It’s clear after last night’s vice presidential debate results that we really need a second VP debate so that Kaine and Pence can look more closely into the character of Donald Trump and his qualifications – or lack thereof – to be the next President of the United States.

In this first — and presumably only — VP debate, Kaine and Pence largely avoided discussing some of the bigger scandals associated with the Donald Trump campaign, from his recent PTSD comments about soldiers to his 90s porn video. A second vice presidential debate based on these topics might get us better results and would be far more entertaining than the first.

Donald Trump’s PTSD Comments

One of Donald Trump’s most recent scandals is also one of his most outrageous gaffes. As reported by CNN, at an interview at the retired American warriors PAC, Trump suggested that soldiers who commit suicide were simply too weak to stand up to the “horrors” of war. How Trump came to understand the horrors of war in the restaurants and theaters of Manhattan is an open question.

This one is reminiscent of Donald Trump’s criticism of John McCain, when he implied McCain was not a hero for having spent years as a POW being tortured. Trump — who avoided service in Vietnam thanks to a debilitating heel spur that somehow didn’t interfere with his golf game results — suggested that he liked soldiers who didn’t get captured.

Trump And Megyn Kelly

But Donald Trump scandals are hardly a recent phenomenon. In one of last year’s Republican presidential debates, when Trump didn’t like the results he chose to attack one of the moderators — Megyn Kelly — by suggesting that she was on her period. Yes, no one’s as classy as Donald Trump.

“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes…Blood coming out of her… wherever.”

Bringing up Donald Trump’s apparent discomfort with menstruating women and his willingness to shame them would have given Kaine a chance to point out Trump’s long-standing misogynistic hatred of women in general. As noted by CNN, from Rosie O’Donnell and Bette Midler to Arianna Huffington, there are very few women Trump seems to like or respect — if any. And his go-to move for attacking them usually relates to how they look.

The Donald Trump Porn Video

While many topics related to morality were discussed in the first VP debate, in our imagined second vice presidential debate it would be possible to get more deeply into, well, vice. While Donald Trump represents the far right party of — they claim — highly religious morality, recent revelations about a playboy porn video Trump cameoed in back in 1998 call into question Trump’s qualifications for sainthood.

A Donald Trump Heart Attack?

Finally, there’s the issue of health. Donald Trump and his various Trump campaign minions have attempted to paint Hillary Clinton as a frail old lady who faints at the lightest breeze. But Clinton recently released a full and believable report on the results of her latest checkup and doesn’t seem to be at death’s door.

Donald Trump’s health — despite the note his doctor supposedly wrote — is still an open question. Rumors are swirling that because of the medications that Donald Trump reportedly takes, he may be at risk for a heart attack. In fact — to borrow a phrase from Trump himself — “many people are saying” that Trump may have already had a heart attack. A cardiac arrest in a presidential candidate sounds a bit worse than Hillary Clinton getting a bit dizzy.

Unfortunately, the Debates Commission has already determined the presidential debate schedule, and it’s not likely to change. While last night’s vice presidential debate results weren’t exactly what might have been hoped for, it’s probably all were going to get this 2016 election year.
