Who went home on Dancing with the Stars on Week 3? Six couples were in jeopardy after Monday night’s face-off challenge, and during Tuesday night’s two-hour live results show, host Tom Bergeron revealed the name of the couple who would be leaving the show.

According to ABC, six couples were safe from elimination after winning their round of the face-off challenge during Monday night’s one-hour show. The other six couples were in jeopardy and the couple with the lowest score (judges scores and fan votes) was sent home on Tuesday night.

The buzz about tonight’s show pointed to either Ryan Lochte and Rick Perry leaving, but just like last week, the elimination was kept a big secret until the final minutes of the show.

Ryan Lochte has had consistently low scores and mediocre fan supports and Rick Perry hasn’t been able to get out of the bottom of the leaderboard all season. However, Buddy TV‘s John Kubicek states that Babyface and Amber Rose were also at risk of leaving on Tuesday night.

“There’s no way Derek Hough is going to be eliminated earlier than sixth place, so Marilu is safe. And Terra was phenomenal and really stands out in a crowd, so she’s also good.”

If you missed Monday night’s show, here’s a look at the Week 3 leaderboard and the results of the face off. Fan votes were very important this week — even if the celebrity dancers’ scores were among the lowest on the leaderboard, votes from fans could help them avoid elimination.

  • Calvin Johnson (32) — safe
  • Laurie Hernandez (31) — safe
  • Terra Jole (30) — in jeopardy
  • James Hinchcliffe (30) — safe
  • Maureen McCormick (28) — safe
  • Marilu Henner (28) — in jeopardy
  • Jana Kramer (26) — safe
  • Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds (25) — in jeopardy
  • Ryan Lochte (25) — in jeopardy
  • Amber Rose (25) — in jeopardy
  • Rick Perry (23) — in jeopardy
  • Vanilla Ice (23) — Safe

The audience and the couples all waited patiently for Tom Bergeron to reveal the name of the celebrity who would be leaving. But first, Florida Georgia Line performed two hit songs, “Cruise” and “H.O.L.Y.,” Fitz and The Tantrums performed “HandClap,” and Val and Maks Chmerkovskiy thrilled the audience with a special performance.

One by one, he told the six couples who faced elimination if they were now safe or would remain in jeopardy.

  • Safe: Babyface and Allison, Marilu and Derek, Ryan and Cheryl
  • In Jeopardy: Rick and Emma, Amber and Maks, Tara and Sasha

Rick and Emma, Amber and Maks, and Tara and Sasha stood under the hot lights on the ballroom stage to learn their fate.

The two-hour live results show seemed extra-long on Tuesday night. Finally, the announcement was made in the last 60 seconds of the show. Tom announced that Tara and Sasha were safe for another week and then he revealed that Amber and Maks were also moving on to Week 4.

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry and his partner, Emma Slater, were eliminated.

Rick’s elimination was expected to happen last week, so this shouldn’t be a shocker to most fans, although some viewers were expecting Ryan Lochte to leave on Tuesday night.

Next week is the first ever Cirque du Soleil night, a show that will feature some amazing performances that look like a combination of gymnastics and dance. That means Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez should have a big edge over the other couples during the Week 4 competition.

Watch the Dancing with the Stars Week 4 performances on Monday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, followed by the third two-hour live results show of the season on Tuesday, October 4.
