‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Finale Will Be Two Episodes, Plus, New Synopses Released For Episodes 14 And 15

AMC will air the final two episodes of Fear the Walking Dead on the same night. They will then follow afterwards with The Walking Dead marathon in the lead up to the Season 7 return.

Fans listening closely would have noticed something unusual during the teaser for Episode 13 (entitled “Date of Death”) of Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead which aired after Episode 12 last Sunday night. The voice-over announced, “Only two weeks left of this season.”

You can view the teaser for Episode 13 of Fear the Walking Dead below.

Traditionally, if AMC’s companion program, The Walking Dead, is anything to go by, their seasons are 16 episodes long and the season is split into two mini-seasons. Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead has followed this plan with one exception, the season will only run for 15 episodes. Even with this slightly shortened season, there are still three episodes of Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead left to air. So, does this mean the voice-over was wrong.

After checking AMC’s schedule, there is actually only two weeks left for the season. The reason being is that AMC has decided to air Episodes 14 and 15 on the same night. That’s right, the Season 2 finale of Fear the Walking Dead will be a double episode night.

AMC has also released the official synopses for Episodes 14 and 15 of Fear the Walking Dead.

Season 2, Episode 14, titled “Wrath.”

“New refugees throw off Travis; Nick must decide if he should stay at the Colonia with Luciana or leave.”

Season 2 finale, Episode 15, titled “North.”

“When Travis’ rage causes unrest at the hotel, Madison must decide if she’ll stand by him.”

These synopses are intriguing as they reveal that Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) will meet up with his partner, Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), before the end of Season 2, but they will soon find themselves in conflict with each other. Episode 14 of Fear the Walking Dead also shows conflict between Madison’s son, Nick (Frank Dillane), and his new girlfriend, Luciana (Danay Garcia).

The Season 2 finale of Fear the Walking Dead will be followed by the Fear finale of Talking Dead. No guests have been announced for this episode, with the schedule only stating that guests will “discuss ‘Wrath’ as well as the Season 2 finale, ‘North.'”

Preceding the double episode Season 2 finale of Fear the Walking Dead will be the traditional marathon leading up to it. This marathon will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, and will run through until the premiere of Episode 14.

Once the Season 2 finale of Fear the Walking Dead and Talking Dead has aired, AMC will air Geeking Out. This program stars Robert Kirkman (creator of Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead), David Alpert (executive producer for Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead), Greg Nicotero (special effects artist for both shows as well as director and executive producer), and Kim Dickens (Madison Clark in Fear the Walking Dead). Geeking Out delves into the creative minds behind the two shows.
