Angelina Jolie Divorcing Brad Pitt, Terrified That His ‘Anger Problem’ Is Endangering Their Kids?
Is it truly the end for Hollywood’s Brangelina? Angelina Jolie has reportedly filed for divorce from Brad Pitt fearing that his attitude is putting their children in jeopardy.
Despite previous rumors that their marital woes stem from infidelity, TMZ reports that Angelina is “extremely upset” with how Brad is parenting the six children (Maddox, aged 14, Pax, aged 12, Zahara, aged 11, Shiloh, aged 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged 8).
As per the publication, the Salt actress simply became “fed up” with her husband’s “anger problem.” Allegations about Brad’s weed and alcohol consumption have likewise emerged. All these things reportedly prompted Angelina to make the difficult decision for she didn’t want to compromise the children’s safety.
Angelina is represented by Laura Wasser who have worked on the cases of other celebrity clients like Heidi Klum and Ashton Kutcher. The Tomb Raider actress is asking for sole physical custody of the children and is not demanding for spousal support.
In Touch Weekly recently reported that Brad did not spend the final days of summer with his family. He allegedly headed to Croatia with his friends, and this was the final straw in their marriage.
“As Brad headed out the door, Angelina was in tears, truly feeling she’d lost Brad once and for all. The marriage is broken and Brad and Angelina’s $400 million divorce is underway.”
Angelina and Brad have just celebrated their anniversary in a low-key way. The two booked a room at the Beverly Hills Hotel and left the children at home.
They tied the knot in August, 2014, in an intimate ceremony held at the vineyard of their very own Chateau Miraval in the South of France. The event made headlines because everyone in the family contributed to the nuptials. Maddox and Pax walked their mother down the aisle. Zahara and Vivienne took on the role of flower girls while Shiloh and Knox served as the ring bearers. Pax also made the wedding cake. Angelina’s Versace gown was praised, for it was adorned by drawings of her children.
Angelina and Brad have been together since 2004 after meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. As reported by Fox News, the actress told Vogue in 2006 that she wasn’t looking for a relationship that time because she was satisfied being a single mother. She revealed that although she found Brad interesting on the set, she was careful for she knew the actor was then married to his “best friend.”
“I didn’t know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life. But it was clear he was with his best friend, someone he loves and respects. And so we were both living, I suppose, very full lives.”
Angelina’s reason for filing divorce was a far cry from Brad’s statements to Esquire a few years ago. The actor was then expressing his support for his wife’s decision to undergo a double mastectomy after stringent tests revealed that Angelina was carrying the BRCA1 gene mutation responsible for breast cancer.
The Maleficent star had the mastectomy because she was determined to “stay alive” for her children. Brad lauded his wife and said that he loved having a big family.
“I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big. I wanted there to be chaos in the house. There’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it. I hate it when they’re gone. I hate it. Maybe it’s nice to be in a hotel room for a day – ‘Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.’ But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life.”
The last time they were seen publicly was in July when they celebrated Knox and Vivienne’s birthday in West Hollywood.
