Ariel Winter Steals Kylie Jenner’s Look For The Emmys, Says Sofia Vergara Helped Her Embrace Her Curves

Ariel Winter dressed a bit more conservatively than she usually does for the Emmy Awards, but what she wore will still catch the attention of the judgmental hosts of E!’s Fashion Police. The Modern Family actress rocked a sparkly, skintight dress that E! star Kylie Jenner has already worn before, so there’s no doubt that Ariel’s Emmys look will be discussed during the next “B***h Stole My Look” segment of the red carpet show.

As E! News reports, Ariel Winter walked the Emmy Awards red carpet in a Yousef Al-Jasmi design that Kylie Jenner was photographed wearing just a few days ago. The version of the form-fitting dress that Ariel chose to wear to the Emmys was a long gown with a high slit and a nude slip underneath. The beaded gown featured a sheer overlay bedazzled with sparkly stripes. According to Us Weekly, Kylie wore a shorter version of the same dress during New York Fashion Week, but she skipped the nude slip in favor of a pair of flesh-colored panties.

According to Ariel, she didn’t put a lot of thought into her sleek and sophisticated Emmys look.

“This was actually the quickest decision,” she said. “I saw it, tried it on, and I was like, ‘This is what I want to wear,’ and that’s that.”

Choosing red carpet looks used to be a lot more difficult for the 18-year-old actress. As Glamour reports, Ariel decided to undergo breast reduction surgery last year, which changed her bra size from a 32F to a 34D. Before the surgery, Ariel had a hard time finding dresses that she thought she looked good in. She often ended up wearing gowns that showed off a lot of cleavage, and she was criticized for wearing looks that were considered inappropriate for a teen.

“Everyone would [say], ‘Why is she dressing so mature? That’s so inappropriate for her age!’ I understood what they were saying. It’s not like I wanted to pick out those inappropriate dresses, it’s just that I didn’t really have another choice, or I was going to get ridiculed,” Winter explained.

Now the actress feels more comfortable wearing a wider range of styles, but don’t think for a second that her decision to undergo breast reduction surgery means that she despises being curvy. During a recent interview with People, Ariel Winter said that developing at such a young age initially made her feel bad about her body. However, she eventually learned to love her curves. Spending a lot of time around another famous voluptuous lady, her Modern Family costar Sofia Vergara, helped Ariel become more body-confident.

“I was very insecure when I was younger because I did grow up in the public eye,” Ariel revealed. “But then as I got older, I was surrounded by people like Sofia Vergara, and people who were curvier like me and were proud of it. And who were showing it off. That really helped me to move forward and be proud of my body.”

Now Ariel Winter loves wearing the revealing outfits that used to make her worry about being ridiculed, and she doesn’t care what social media trolls think about her sexy style. She sometimes responds to the critics who complain that she’s showing too much skin or wearing dresses that are too tight, and she never lets her haters make her question her clothing decisions; she knows what she looks and feels good in.

One of Ariel’s recent looks that got a lot of negative attention was the revealing bodycon dress that she wore to her high school graduation party back in June.

“Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress,” Ariel tweeted in response to critics who complained that the look was inappropriate.

Ariel Winter was seemingly taking style inspiration from Kylie Jenner when she chose the dress with a diamond-shaped “boob window.” As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kylie rocked a jumpsuit with a similar underboob-baring top a few days before Ariel showed off her daring dress.
