A Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise alleged divorce details leak offers a glimpse inside possibly one of the quickest and most private splits in Hollywood. A Radar Online report notes that the marriage was allegedly irretrievably cracked six months before Suri’s mommy filed for divorce.
The excerpts shared via Radar Online did not spell out any of the details about Cruise’s allegedly liberal visitation rights with Suri. Recent headlines called into question what possible role the Church of Scientology may have played in not just the decision to divorce but also the amount of time the movie star has spent with his daughter since the famous breakup.
Court documents allegedly signed by New York Supreme Court Judge Matthew F. Cooper, published by the National Enquirer , reportedly include specifics about the child custody agreement as well. If the divorce documents are authentic, the couple was officially married in a civil ceremony in Los Angeles on November 11, 2006 and not during the more widely known and opulent ceremony in Italy, the same year.
Katie Holmes, 33, reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement months prior to the wedding date. Tom Cruise, 50, is expected to pay approximately $4.8 million in child support for Suri by the time she reaches adulthood. Although the dollar figure may sound enormous, it will not make much of a dent in the movie star’s estimated $280 million fortune. He agreed to pay for Suri’s elementary through high school education, college tuition, extracurricular and camp expenses, and health care. If the actor misses a payment, he faces a jail sentence of not more than six months.
