‘Fear The Walking Dead,’ Season 2, Episode 12, ‘Pillar Of Salt’ Predictions — Who Will Reunite, Who Will Get Injured?

As we head in Episode 12 (entitled “Pillar of Salt”) of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, things are starting to heat up. Who gets injured? Which members reunite? Let’s take a look.

Spoiler alert: This article discusses Episode 12 (entitled “Pillar of Salt”) of Season 2 of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. Please proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.

Episode 12 of Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead is entitled “Pillar of Salt.” The official synopsis is below.

“Madison lays down the law.”

It’s very short and doesn’t reveal much at all other than the confirmation this episode will feature Madison and, likely, the rest of her group in the hotel. However, AMC also released a teaser video for Episode 12 of Fear the Walking Dead, which can be viewed below.

Some interesting things can be gleaned from the teaser video.

Firstly, it seems Nick’s Colonia group in Tijuana has officially wound up on someone’s radar. This is most likely the group that Nick (Frank Dillane) and Luciana (Danay Garcia) traded with in Episode 9 of Fear the Walking Dead. When Nick managed to barter a larger supply trade even though he had stolen from them, it was predicted this group would try and locate Colonia. It seems that in Episode 12, this becomes a fact. Interesting to note is Alejandro (Paul Calderon) reminding Luciana that “no one leaves Colonia.” Who is trying to leave? Only by tuning into Episode 12 will reveal this answer.

A very brief image is shown of someone driving a truck that looks like the one that went missing at the hotel is shown in the teaser for Episode 12 of Fear the Walking Dead. It seems like Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) really did steal the truck from her group and has branched out alone. Judging by the image, she is returning to the U.S. This is a bit confusing as she really has no one left in the U.S. until you remember she left a fiancé in New Mexico. A very quick snippet of Ofelia killing one of the infected using a hammer is also seen.

AMC then reminds viewers about the official synopsis for Episode 12 with Madison (Kim Dickens) insisting that “if anyone raises a hand to another, they’re out.” This is interesting to note as further on in the clip, Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) is shown with some sort of wound to his midsection. Did someone from the hotel do this to Strand? If so, will Madison hold firm and boot out one of the group in this episode of Fear the Walking Dead?

Finally, Madison is seen being held back and asking, “Was he safe?” Initially, it could be seen as Madison asking about Strand. However, a couple of images released from Episode 12 of Fear the Walking Dead indicate that maybe Madison and Nick will be reunited in this episode. These images potentially show Madison, and Elena (Karen Bethzabe), in the same place Nick and Luciana barter supplies from. If this is the case, it seems a reunion between some members of the main group that split up in the Season 2 mid-season finale of Fear the Walking Dead may already be happening.

Fear‘s showrunner, Dave Erickson, suggested this in a recent interview he did with Entertainment Weekly, dropping some tantalizing hints about upcoming episodes of Fear the Walking Dead.

“We’re setting ourselves up for a potential fall and Madison’s efforts to reconnect with Nick — that’s going to gain a foothold and ultimately she’s going to be tested in terms of where her love really lies. How far is she willing to go to save her son when her daughter is right there by her side?”
