'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star NeNe Leakes Out For Season 9, Frenemy Kim Zolciak Back In?

According to Gossip on This, Leakes was in talks with producers to join the series in Season 9 and was using her value to negotiate a better contract.

Did Leakes miscalculate how much the show needs her?

"NeNe is not dumb; She does exactly what needs to be done on RHOA. She is not afraid to fight with anyone and her take on every story is what fans want," an insider revealed. "No one cares about the random ladies on the show. NeNe is the one they tune in to watch. So she will be back, earning the big bucks and laughing all the way to the bank."

It is unknown what happened behind the scenes between Leakes and Real Housewives of Atlanta producers, though she obviously will not be a part of the hit show next season.

Meanwhile, as the Inquisitr has previously reported, rumors of Zolciak's return continue to gain traction. Like Leakes, Zolciak was an original member of RHOA and parted ways because of her busy schedule.

While Zolciak dealt with her new romance with Kroy Biermann and the birth of her first boy, she also starred in Bravo's Don't Be Tardy. The spin-off has been so successful that fans have been urging Zolciak to return to RHOA.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta was the s**t when my mom was on it… should she go back on it??" she asked on Twitter.

A lot of fans responded negatively to the question, but only because they didn't want to see Don't Be Tardy canceled. Of course, Zolciak could participate on both shows and keep fans satisfied, though that would be a lot of work.

That being said, Zolciak recently took to Twitter to dispel the rumors of her return to RHOA.

"No I will not be on RHOA this season was never asked to be so not sure where the rumors are coming from," she wrote.

"Pay attention, ok, look at my nose... compare. It's the same Y'ALL!" Brielle explained after posting younger pictures of herself. "You know what? I'm gonna even do a little throwback for y'all. I'm bringing the Real Housewives of Atlanta season one, gonna show you my 10th birthday episode. Wow, my nose... looks the same. Looks the same."

An official premiere date for Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has not been announced.
