CMA Awards: Country Singer Miranda Lambert Will Perform


Country superstar Miranda Lambert has been added to the list of performers for this years Country Music Awards. The Country Music Association announced on Monday that the reigning female vocalist of the year would join the November 1 live show for the 46th Annual CMA Awards.

A rep for the CMA tells PEOPLE that Lambert has agreed to perform during the live broadcast, which will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Miranda Lambert won’t only be performing when the CMA’s roll into town; she is also up for a few prizes including album of the year, music video of the year, and song of the year for her hit singleOver You.” The song of the year was written with an assist from country superstar husband Blake Shelton, who has also struck some big wins at the CMAs including two coveted male vocalists of the year awards.

Miranda Lambert joins an already expanding list of performers who now include the Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean (fresh off his night of cheating), Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town, Dierks Bently, and Brad Paisley.

In what is quickly becoming a CMA tradition, Brad Paisley for a fifth year in a row will co-host the event with Carrie Underwood. Both singers have repeatedly been well received by the award show’s audience.
