Britney Spears Ends 7-Year War With Ex-Manager, Truly A Fresh Start For The Pop Princess

Britney Spears is finally getting a full fresh start, away from the days of drama, addiction, and heartbreak. The lawsuit that was brought against her by her former manager, Sam Lufti, has finally been settled after he was offered a settlement in the “low-six figures,” in return for withdrawing the suit against the pop star.

The suit involved claims that Spears had allegedly defamed the character of Lufti, but he agreed to abandon the case within which he brought in negative details to play about the star, noting she was a drug abuser and that she slandered his name.

The Daily Mail recounts details of the ongoing suit against the pop star.

“[Lufti] had initially filed his case against Britney and her family way back in 2009, claiming he was being slandered and blamed for her career spiral after her hospitilisation in 2008. However he asserted the real issue was Britney had a drug problem, which he had actually tried to stop while he was her handler.”

The case had originally been dismissed in 2012, yet Lufti was successful in an appeal. The two first met in October of 2007. Spears’ family then filed a restraining order against the manager due to having moved into Britney’s home and taking control of her” life, home and finances,” as Spears’ mother Lynne shared.

Sam Lufti reportedly tightly controlled and manipulated the troubled star, who has since arisen from that dark time. He made decisions about medication, about cutting her phone lines and even made decisions for Britney as to who she was allowed to meet.

The superstar is now doing remarkably well, headlining her own show in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Casino, a residency that has been a success for years now. Lufti is not a stranger to the headlines. Just a few months ago, he was accused of kidnapping and robbing the estranged husband of Frances Bean Cobain. The 41-year-old and the accomplice are said to have taken Isaiah Silva and then “carried him to his car at around 12:45 am on June 3.”

The Los Angeles Police Department documents state that Silva’s mobile phone was said to have been stolen and a glass door had been smashed, causing almost $4,000 in damage.

It seems as though Spears has done well to be free of the former manager and has been flying high since she has taken to living the single life as well. The songstress and mother of two now states that her two sons from her marriage with Kevin Federline, Sean Preston and Jayden James, are the loves of her life and have made her the person she wishes to be. In a recent interview, the star relayed these touching facts. While visiting the Today Show recently, Spears shared an awkward first date story and then added that the best relationship she has is with her son. E! recounts the pop star’s account of her dating scenario that didn’t amount to anything long-lasting

“I had a really bad date. I mean, it was bad. I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me. We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn’t work…He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.”

After her last relationship with producer Charlie Ebersol fizzled, Spears has taken the time to love the single life as a caring mother and talent.
