Beyonce Postpones NJ Concert, Singer Under ‘Vocal Rest’ After Partying All Night, No Longer Performing At MetLife Stadium

Beyonce postpones her NJ concert and is currently under “vocal rest” after she partied the night away at her Soul Train-themed 35th birthday party the night before. The singer will no longer be performing on Sep. 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Sep. 7 show has been rescheduled for Oct. 7. MetLife Stadium released a statement earlier today (Sep. 6).

“There are no changes to any additional dates at this time and performances in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Nashville are expected to proceed as scheduled.

“Live Nation and Parkwood Entertainment apologize for any inconvenience.”

MetLife Stadium tweeted out to their followers to share the news as well.

Beyonce postponed her NJ concert “as a result of strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest,” according to E! News. Hopefully the singer will be able to perform at her show in Missouri on Sep. 10.

The singer, who turned 35 this past weekend, has nine more shows to go on her “Formation World Tour.”

Fans in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Nashville can rest easy though, as Beyonce will be proceeding with those tour dates as planned.

Here are her nine remaining tour dates, including the postponed NJ concert.

  • Sep. 10: The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, MO
  • Sept. 14: Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA
  • Sept. 17: Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA
  • Sept. 22: NRG Stadium in Houston, TX
  • Sept. 24: Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA
  • Sept. 26: Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA
  • Sept. 29: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA
  • Oct. 2: Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN
  • Oct. 7: MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ

Beyonce has been selling out stadiums across the world ever since she kicked off her “Formation World Tour” on April 27 at Marlins Park in Miami.

Beyonce has had a few “scheduling” issues on the tour so far, resulting in some tour date changes.

Her show on Cinco De Mayo, May 5, at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville was rescheduled for October 3. No reason was given for the cancellation.

The May 29 show at Ford Field in Detroit was rescheduled for June 14 due to “scheduling changes.”

Beyonce took to Instagram on Monday to thank her friends and fans for all of the warm wishes on her 35th birthday.

“I’m so grateful for every challenge, every smile, every tear, every discovery, every sacrifice, every triumph, every stretch mark, every kiss, every scar. I strive to make you proud,” she wrote. “I love YOOOUUUU!!! B.”

The singer spent the night prior to postponing her NJ concert date partying the night away at her Soul Train– themed birthday party.

The day before, on Beyonce’s actual birthday (Sep. 4), Beyonce attended the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia with her husband, Jay Z.

The busy weekend must have taken a toll on the singer as she postponed her NJ concert so unexpectedly.

Fans are wishing Beyonce a speedy and full recovery so that she can get back to what she does best.

Beyonce will be resting and preparing for her final month on her “Formation World Tour” these next couple of days.
