Teen Wolf 2016-2017 Will Be The Final MTV Season: When Will Dylan O’Brien Return To Film Those Last Episodes?

Teen Wolf 2016 -2017 will be released November 15, 2016. The show will be returning for Season 6 which will be the final season of the popular MTV series. About half of the season’s 20 episodes have already been filmed. Filming is planned to resume for the remaining episodes in October if Dylan O’Brien is able.

Dylan O’Brien has been recovering from injuries to his head and face but hopes to be able to return to the Teen Wolf set soon. His recovery has been a difficult one, following his accident six months ago on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

Teen Wolf has delayed filming, awaiting O’Brein’s recovery. It is now believed that pending any unforeseen circumstances Dylan will be returning very soon.

Dylan O’Brien was riding on the hood of a car and trying to do a stunt in which he would travel to the back of the car in front of him. He was harnessed to the lead car, when the rear car slowed, according to The Inquisitr.

Sadly, Teen Wolf Season 6 will be the last season for the show. The bad news was delivered at Comic-Con to fans and cast alike. The cast had not been prepared for the announcement, and the actors were told only moments before it was announced to the public.

Dylan Obrien was unable to attend Comic-con this year and has been recovering at home since he was released from the hospital in March. His co-stars believe he is doing better and look forward to working with him in October.

Tyler Hoechlin has graciously volunteered to return to the teen werewolf show, and the Showrunner Jeff Davis is glad to have him according to Chatt Sports Net.

“If Tyler is ready to reprise his role of Derek Hale, we would love to have him back.”

Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis is eager to start filming, but patient in his wait for Dylan’s full recovery. Now he is thrilled that Tyler is coming back to the MTV hit series.

Tyler Hoechlin was a regular on the program in Season 4, as Derek Hale. Now that Derek is back, the show will probably be able to feature Tyler’s character in some episodes, perhaps taking some pressure off Dylan, who has the leading role.

A Teen Wolf movie is currently being discussed, and it is likely that the plot of the series will continue through at least one film, but perhaps more, since the show is a major earner for MGM already. The show is doing well, so it makes sense to make a film. Jeff Davis is quoted in Parent Herald explaining that he and Tyler Posey had been hoping for a movie.

“Tyler [Posey] and I always talk about doing a movie.”

Dylan O’Brien plans to be a part of the movie, as will Tyler Posey and the rest of the Teen Wolf cast. MGM owns the rights and will likely pick up the idea readily since the series has been so popular and profitable.

The Teen Wolf movie will likely pick up with the characters after graduation, allowing for a bit more grown-up looking cast. It has been six years, so how long can one stay in high school?
