Tinashe has Rihanna’s fans shook today. The emerging pop star released her remix of Rihanna’s “Sex with Me,” and fans took to social media to express their outrage.
The Rihanna navy wasn’t too happy to hear that Tinashe decided to release her hot new remix of Rihanna’s ANTI bonus track, “Sex with Me.” It looks like that song is clearly her favorite. Just days after Fabolous and Trey Songz put their own spin on the track, Tinashe assumed it was her turn to release her own remix, reports HipHopNMore. She dropped the exclusive remix on her official SoundCloud account.

According to Tinashe, sex with her is exclusive, unlike Rihanna’s description of sex with her being amazing. Tinashe keeps the original vibe of Rih’s song intact while including a similar version of Rihanna’s flow and cadence on the remix, although her voice is strikingly different, reports HotNewHipHop.
Rihanna’s fans are not happy that she covered the song and changed some of its lyrics. Some of her faithful members took to Twitter to mock Tinashe.

The singer has since responded to the attacks. Tinashe took to her Instagram page to post a photo of herself wearing a pink bikini and holding a gold balloon.
In the caption, she wrote, “‘You know that I don’t playyyyyyy….’ Happy weekend! I loved the song, so I thought it would be fun to remix #SexWithMe (soundcloud: TinasheNow)…much love to @badgalriri cuz the original version is so [lit].”
Back in July, Tinashe dropped “Superlove,” a single from her upcoming album, Joyride. She also premiered the music video, which featured her frolicking around in sexy swimsuits on the beach. Tinashe also previously teamed up with Juicy J on the track “Energy” and Young Thug on their collaboration “Party Favors,” reports Pitchfork.
However, this isn’t the first time that Tinashe has been slammed by Rihanna’s fans. Earlier this year, she postponed her world tour so that she could work on her sophomore album. According to PopCrush, Rihanna already recorded her own version of the “Joyride” title track, which means that it’s no longer Tinashe’s track anymore. While rumors swirled that RiRi wanted the song for at least a month, screengrabs on social media of an alleged chat between Tinashe and her fans seemed to have confirmed the rumor.
However, it has not been confirmed whether the song was registered or recorded, as it never appeared on Rihanna’s ANTI album. The song credits do reveal that it was co-written by Hit-Boy and Travi$ Scott, both of whom have a close working relationship with the singer. In addition, Joyride has yet to have a release date.
Then, back in 2014, it was revealed that Tinashe threw some shade at Rihanna in 2009. Of course, Rihanna’s fans weren’t too happy to hear that, reports Idolator. The navy found some old tweets that Tinashe wrote about Rihanna.
“I’m not much of a Rihanna fan.. and I definitely don’t particularly like the song, but the ‘Russian Roulette’ video is dope! #uknowitsarecission when Rihanna finally talks about ‘that night’ near a damn year later to help her album sales,” she supposedly tweeted.
Tinashe was talking about Rihanna’s Rated R single “Russian Roulette,” which is said to be about her turbulent relationship with Chris Brown. Of course, Tinashe was met with some heavy reaction from Rihanna fans, who were a little late in noticing the tweets.

Don’t drag tinashe… Rihanna and tinashe are both TALENTED artists and very different so stop comparing them. Drama for what
