Fifth Harmony ‘Frustrated’ By Camila Cabello’s Solo Plans [Report]

Camila Cabello’s Fifth Harmony bandmates are reportedly “frustrated” with her solo music aspirations.

That’s according to a new report by A Dose of Sass, who claimed that after Fifth Harmony took home two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, and Lauren Jauregui supposedly celebrated without their bandmate.

“At the Republic Records after party, the group did not seem so harmonious,” the site claimed of the girls’ appearance at the after party in New York. “Four members of the band showed up, Camilla Cabello was missing. Then at 2:30am Camilla walks in and the other four leave.”

The blog then went on to claim that “the other four are frustrated with the amount of time Camilla is spending on pursuing a solo career,” which is why Lauren, Normani, Ally, and Dinah supposedly bailed on the VMAs party as soon as their Fifth Harmony bandmate arrived.

However, while A Dose of Sass is claiming that Fifth Harmony were down to four at the VMAs after party and photos show that Cabello was missing for at least part of the night, the group did appear to at least spend some time together as a fivesome.

While celebrating their big VMAs win for Best Collaboration for their duet with Ty Dolla $ign “Work From Home” and Song of the Summer for “All in My Head (Flex)” with Fetty Wap, Fifth Harmony’s Snapchat video showed all five girls were together at the VMAs after party at one point.

Fifth Harmony fans flocked to social media to post video footage of all five girls dancing together at the post-VMAs party, even pointing out that seeing all five Fifth Harmony girls together outside of a contractual obligation was pretty rare.

“Camila and Lauren were together all the night,” Twitter user @ManipSquad wrote on the social media site alongside a video showing the girls dancing together to their hit “All In My Head (Flex)” in a club. “They are all five [at] a party.”

But despite rumors claiming that Camila arrived late to a VMAs after-party only to find her Fifth Harmony bandmates leaving, a fan alleged that the girls did party together but then headed on to another party while Cabello left solo.

“Camila went to the after party with the girls she then left to get food/go back to the hotel and the girls decided to go on to another party,” Fifth Harmony Tumblr fan CAMRENSVIBE explained. “They went to Rihanna’s after party which there’s a video of them arriving at & leaving which is why Camila’s not in that video but she was partying with the girls for a while.”

Reports claiming that Camila was separated from her Fifth Harmony bandmates for at least part of their big VMAs night come after months of speculation that Cabello’s solo music plans had been causing drama within the band.

Perez Hilton reported back in July that the Fifth Harmony girls all took to Snapchat to give fans a glimpse at their Fourth of July celebrations while in Brazil on their “7/27 Tour,” though Camila was nowhere to be found.

Photos and videos posted to Snapchat by Fifth Harmony showed Lauren, Dinah, Ally, and Normani celebrating by the pool, though Cabello took to the app to tell fans that she was holed up in a makeshift studio in her hotel room, seemingly working on solo music outside of Fifth Harmony.

Camila was noticeably absent from Fifth Harmony’s various Snapchat uploads, instead posting a video of her laptop resting on a toilet in her hotel bathroom with a keyboard on the floor.

“My lil studio I’ve been stuck in all day,” Camila told Fifth Harmony fans alongside the photo, which was re-uploaded to Twitter by @CCabelloNews.
