Kelly Osbourne’s $250,000 Emmy’s Manicure
Kelly Osbourne apologizes to anybody offended by her Emmy’s manicure, but she isn’t sorry for being able to rock a quarter of a million dollars worth of black diamonds on her nails.
According to TODAY, the “Fashion Police’ host made headlines for sporting a pretty high priced manicure during the Emmy’s. Kelly was rocking a finger nail polish that was created by Los Angeles-based luxury jeweler Azature. The polish had $250,000 worth of black diamonds mixed into it.
On the day of the Emmy’s, Osbourne tweeted about her excitement:
“I’m s—ting myself to have that much money on my nails!”
After only a couple of days after the Emmy’s, Osbourne is getting a little heat for her pricey manicure.
There have been some that were offended by the pricey manicure, but Osbourne clarified that she did not have to pay for the manicure saying, “I was just lucky enough to be the one that got picked to wear it”. Osbourne then issued a “sort of” apology on Twitter, saying:
“I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, but it was a once in a lifetime experience,” she wrote, adding the hashtag #MyApologies.
“Please forgive me for not regretting it,” she continued. “It made me feel like a queen!”
Even though Osbourne really isn’t sorry for sporting the black diamond polish for the Emmy’s, she is sorry for any less-than-thoughtful comments on Sunday.
“I have a big mouth & i know it! I just don’t like knowing that I have unintentionally offended anyone! If its intentional I don’t give a s**t,” she clarified.
In my opinion, Osbourne’s manicure was a slap to the face to those in the nation who are struggling to pay bills and just get by. With today’s economy, that $250,000 worth of black diamonds could have been used in more productive ways.
It was a waste of resources, and it shows just how out-of-touch with today’s society Hollywood can be.
