Maci Bookout Accused Of Faking Pregnancy Reveal, ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Already Knew About Baby
Maci Bookout and the ladies of Teen Mom OG are back for another season. During a special two-hour season premiere, fans watched as Bookout and her boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, found out they were expecting their second child together. This news was announced back in February but because the show is taped so far in advance, it is just now airing. Despite the fact that she was indeed pregnant, there are some things that don’t match up with previous reports.
After talking about getting married all last season, Maci Bookout finally got a proposal from Taylor McKinney. During their very special moment, she had a noticeable baby bump. That was completely overlooked until it came time for them to wind down at home one night several days later. Bookout was complaining about putting on weight and McKinney suggested she may be pregnant. After some banter back and forth, she opted to take a pregnancy test which she conveniently had under her bathroom sink. According to Radar Online, Maci Bookout faked the pregnancy scenes for ratings on Teen Mom OG. It appears that she talked to another publication about how she found out when the news broke earlier this year. Bookout allegedly found out at her doctor’s office, not at home with Taylor McKinney.
The controversy surrounding Maci Bookout and her pregnancy came from last season. She was filmed drinking during almost every episode. There were accusations thrown out that she may have been drinking while pregnant, though she adamantly denies that was the case. Her son was born in May and the pregnancy was announced in February. Clearly, she was pregnant during some of the Teen Mom OG filming, but it is unclear when she actually found out. Bookout has a condition that makes it incredibly hard to conceive a child. She was under the assumption she could not get pregnant at all, which is how Bentley arrived when she was a teenager.
An October wedding is in the plans for Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney. They will be sharing the month with fellow Teen Mom franchise star, Chelsea Houska. It is unclear whether or not their wedding will be filmed, but it is assumed it will be since there hasn’t been any pressure for privacy from the couple. As they move forward with their life together, the gossip isn’t even on their minds. Bookout has kept her newborn son out of the limelight. It sparked speculation that something may be wrong with the baby’s health. It appears that is not the case and she may have been waiting to debut him on the show. These ladies make decent money for appearing on the show and often give into the demands the network makes based on publicity and photographs.
Taylor McKinney has denied that the show is scripted and he is an actor. Maci Bookout has been a part of this franchise since the beginning. She is aware of how things work and it appears they could have staged the pregnancy reveal for the cameras. If this did happen, getting them to admit it is going to be hard. At this point what is done is done and even an admission wouldn’t change things. Bookout gave birth to a baby boy after a surprise pregnancy, not much else matters. She will be walking down the aisle soon and the start of her new life is just around the corner.
Teen Mom OG is currently airing the steps leading up to the wedding, including the proposal which was part of the season premiere last Monday. Maci Bookout may be making some questionable choices, but she is still deemed one of the better moms in the franchise.
