Lisa Vanderpump has once again proved why she is the queen bee of reality TV. The SUR and PUMP restaurateur officiated the wedding of her employees and Vanderpump Rules co-stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz while Bravo cameras rolled. The wedding took place in a California forest, where Lisa married the couple as they stood on a bed of white roses, according to People.
The groom told E! News that the theme for the wedding was “woodsy elegance.”
“We wanted to be secluded and in the woods, and we are just that,” Schwartz said.
In addition to Lisa Vanderpump, Schwartz and Maloney’s Vanderpump Rules co-stars were all part of the wedding party. Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute were all bridesmaids, while Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval were groomsmen.
Based on Scheana’s Snapchat documentation of the wedding, none of the usual Vanderpump Rules drama marred the big day. It sounds like everybody got along, which could be a first for a Vanderpump Rules social event.
In addition to the Vanderpump Rules cast, the wedding party included Katie’s Pucker & Pout co-founder, Jennifer Hoffner, and Mr. Robot star Stephanie Corneliussen, according to Entertainment Tonight.
And all of the familiar Vanderpump Rules faces were in attendance at the wedding, including Ariana Maddox and SUR manager Peter Madrigal, who sported a clean-shaven new look. Lisa Vanderpump’s right-hand man even delivered dozens of candy favors to the reception.
The color scheme for the wedding was white and ivory. Lisa Vanderpump wore a white gown to officiate the nuptials and then changed into a dark gray ensemble for the reception.
Speaking of the reception, ET reports that Katie also changed – from her $15,000 Zuhair Murad wedding gown into a sequined mini dress and sailor hat — to perform a song with Schwartz. Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval played the trumpet for the number.
Vanderpump Rules fans know that it took Tom Schwartz a long time to propose to Katie. At one point, Lisa Vanderpump questioned if he would ever be marriage material. But once Schwartz got over his cold feet, Lisa was all in, as can be seen by her high-profile spot in the wedding.
This is not the first wedding that Lisa Vanderpump has officiated. In 2014, during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “Secrets Revealed” episode, Lisa announced that her paperwork had been processed and that she was officially an ordained minister. At the time, Lisa revealed that she wanted to become ordained in support of Prop 8 being thrown out.
“I have been ordained,” Lisa said at the time. “I’m actually a minister, so I can marry people. This is in support of throwing Prop. 8 out, so now we can have gay marriage. People have got married in SUR before, so occasionally I am going to perform the ceremony.”
Vanderpump also joked that she would wear her signature color — pink! — to perform the wedding ceremonies.
“I’m going to have some gorgeous pink robe, and you’re going to refer to me as Your Holiness. I’m liking that!” Lisa said.
While she didn’t wear pink, Lisa surely did a fabulous job helping her Vanderpump Rules co-stars finally tie the knot. Fans can expect to see the wedding episode play out on the Season 5 finale of Vanderpump Rules.
Lisa Vanderpump has long been a part of her employees’ personal lives. When her employee Scheana Shay married longtime love Mike Shay, Lisa hosted the engagement party. That wedding also aired on the Bravo reality show.
