Justin Bieber’s Rumored Fling Sofia Richie: Who Is This 17-Year-Old Fashion-Forward Teen?

Justin Bieber’s latest rumored fling, Sofia Richie, is the 17-year-old daughter of music icon Lionel Richie. The young, fashion-forward teen is also the younger sister of reality star and style icon Nicole Richie.

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have been spotted together all over the place together in the last few days, with Sofia even joining the pop star on his international tour. They were recently spotted strolling through Tokyo Park in Japan, where Bieber had two scheduled performances that weekend, according to the Daily Mail.

Sofia is often spotted in unique, bold fashion choices. On their day out in Tokyo, Sofia sported a leopard print jacket, a red bandanna, aviators, and a pair of athletic sneaks.

She told Teen Vogue in 2015 that her older sister, Nicole, is by far her most influential fashion icon. Nicole Richie has her own fashion line, House of Harlow 1960.

“Nicole is definitely my style icon, and she’s the best person to go shopping with. She’s really honest. Other people are afraid to hurt your feelings, so they’ll tell you something’s cute when it isn’t, but she’ll be like, ‘No, discard that.'”

Justin Bieber posted multiple photographs of the pair on his Instagram account, essentially confirming their relationship to his fans. Bieber also pleaded for his fans to leave Richie alone on Instagram after she received some online backlash. The singer also threatened to make his account private if the harassment fails to stop.

Sofia Richie is not new to the spotlight. With a famous father, sister, and friends, the teen has had her fair exposure to the celebrity life. But that doesn’t necessarily prepare her for being thrust into the media as fast as she was as she began spending time with Bieber.

Justin Bieber, 22, has certainly had his fair share of dating rumors this year. It seems the “Sorry” singer has a wide age range of romantic interests, from Kourtney Kardashian, 37, to Richie, who will be turning 18 on August 24.

So who is this fashion-forward teen and how did she and the Biebs get together?

Born to parents Lionel and Diana Richie in 1988, Sofia is the youngest of the Richie Siblings.

Nicole Richie is the eldest of Lionel Richie’s children. Sofia and Nicole do not share a mother. Nicole was born to Lionel’s then-wife, Brenda Harvey-Richie. The 34-year-old became well known in the early 2000s for her infamous reality show with hotel heiress Paris Hilton called The Simple Life. She later went on to marry rocker Joel Madden, with whom she has two children. Today, she is a successful fashion designer, author, actress, and television personality.

Lionel then went on to have a son with his second ex-wife, Diana Alexander Richie.

Miles Brockman Richie made headlines in the past when he allowed Kylie Jenner to tattoo him.

The middle Richie child has been friends with the Jenner crew for a while now. He was photographed hanging with a group of them at Coachella in 2014.

Sofia Richie may not be as famous as her new beau Justin or even her older fashionista sister, but the teen had quite the following on Instagram even prior to news breaking about her relationship with Bieber.

Sofia has 1.2 million followers on the social media site, which has skyrocketed in the last week.

Richie has made a name for herself, appearing in Teen Vogue and Vogue China. The gorgeous teen landed herself a contract with Select Model Management.

Although, Sofia has noted that she has always dreamed of being a singer, although her father does not necessarily want her to be, according to Heavy. The teen says she is happy with what she is doing and glad that she did not try to pursue a music career at such a young age.

Sofia has been influenced by music her whole life, and she even grew up with Michael Jackson as her godfather.

However, the youngest Richie did have a short stint in the music business. In 2013, Richie appeared in Samantha Ronson’s video for the song “Summer of Sam.”

Sofia also made headlines when she became the face of Madonna’s youth clothing line, Material Girl.

“I am a Madonna obsessor since I was 5, so it’s insane that this is happening.”

Sofia Richie’s cute Frenchie has his own Instagram (@CairoRichie) and probably has more followers than the average person.

It is comforting to hear that young Sofia Richie is not growing up too fast and, like any ordinary teen, she has a curfew. The soon-to-be 18-year-old has to be home by 11 p.m. Does this curfew apply while jet-setting the globe with an international pop star?
