It has been reported that a woman who once starred in the reality show, "I'm Pregnant And 55 Years Old is being charged with manslaughter after leaving her 6-year-old son in the car with her infant daughter. Unfortunately, that isn't all there is to the story. Kathleen Marie Steele, 62, will be charged after her infant was beaten to death by her son while they were alone in the car.
The mother was artificially inseminated, leading to her her pregnancy and birth of a baby girl. While Steele went into the cellphone repair store in St. Petersburg, she left her son and infant daughter in the vehicle alone. Over the course of 38 minutes that the children were left alone in the car, the 6-year-old boy had beaten his little sister to death.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri weighs in on this horrifying tragedy at a news conference with the Tampa Bay Times.
"It was one of the worst things I've ever seen. The baby was beaten and traumatized, There was gross swelling in her face. Her skull was cracked in numerous places."When Steele came back to the vehicle, her son said that something was wrong with his little sister. Gualtieri stated that there was no question just by looking at the infant that something was seriously wrong.
"I'm telling you this kid's face was a mess. There's no mistaking the condition this baby was in."

"'I took the baby, and I slammed her like this, and slammed her down, and pushed her up into the ceiling."Gualtieri proceeded to explain how the little boy went on about what he did to his infant sister.
"What he was talking about when he pushed her up into the ceiling, he was holding her up, then he said he was flipping her this way and flipping her that way and she would fall. The way he was describing it is he was tossing that baby around like a ragdoll."When she was pregnant with her son, Kathleen was on the reality show I'm Pregnant and 55 Years Old. During her show debut, she explained how she always wanted to be a mom.
Unfortunately, it is not unlawful to leave a young child in the car alone in the state of Florida. Andrew Stine states the law in Florida is as follows.
"A parent, legal guardian, or any other person responsible for a child, younger than 6 years of age, may not leave the child unattended or unsupervised in a motor vehicle, for a period in excess of 15 minutes."Although it is lawful to leave a child younger than 6-years-old in the car unattended for 15 minutes, Steele left her children unattended in the car for 38 minutes, thus making her liable for the death of her infant daughter.
Steele was arrested and charged with neglect and aggravated assault. She is being held in the Pinellas County jail and her bail is set at $100,000.
