Tom Hiddleston Instagram: Posts First Selfie Dressed As Loki
Tom Hiddleston made his emergence to Instagram in a big way. The British actor wanted to remind fans that his character, Loki, is making a comeback.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9, Hiddleston joined Instagram under the handle @twhiddleston. Then, he posted a selfie of himself dressed up as his Thor villain. Within seven hours of joining Instagram, Hiddleston’s first selfie has received over 60,000 favorites while his account already has over 300,000 followers, according to W Magazine.
The actor, however, has not followed anyone, including his famous girlfriend Taylor Swift. But, it looks like he may not have figured out exactly how Instagram works yet. The Night Manager star is back in Australia filming his next movie, Thor: Ragnarok, which explains his strange costume choice, according to a report via the Mirror.
Hiddleston has been super private on social media over the years. He’s also been tight-lipped when it comes to his relationships except for his romance with Swift. He had to deny the rumors during his interview with the Hollywood Reporter that their relationship is a publicity stunt.
“That notion is, look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking. That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”
While Hiddleston made his big appearance on Instagram, Swift celebrated National Cat Day in the most adorable way, according to Teen Vogue. She quickly figured out how to post to Instagram Stories. The singer took to Instagram to post a video of herself dancing along to Shawn Mendes’ new single “Treat You Better.” In the video, Swift is seen wearing cats on her sweatshirt because it was National Cat Day on Monday, Aug. 8. She also got the chance to show off her new curly hairstyle.

Yesterday was also Mendes’ 18th birthday, which makes sense of the timing of the video. The two artists are good friends. Mendes opened for Swift on her successful 1989 World Tour.
As for Swift’s curly hair, what do you think? According to a new report via Hollywood Life, Hiddleston is very much into her latest hairstyle and thinks she looks “sexy” with her natural hair state. An alleged insider said that he’s crazy about her curly locks and wants his girlfriend to return to her classic hairstyle.
“He absolutely loves her curly hair, he thinks it’s sexy and a bit on the wild side. Despite being miles away from each other, he is forever letting her know how beautiful she is and how fortunate he is to have her in his life.”
The singer first showed off her new hairstyle at a birthday party in the Hamptons over the weekend, where she was seen dancing and kissing oil heir Mike Heiss on the cheek. Swift then showed off her hair once again when she was seen going to the gym and running errands in New York City on Monday, Aug. 8. Fans are getting serious throwback vibes from Swift’s hairstyle and they are hoping that she will stick to it and go back to her country music roots.
This isn’t the first time that Taylor Swift has changed up her hair. Earlier this year, Swift debuted her new platinum hairstyle on the cover of Vogue. She showed off her platinum hair color and grunge look yet again at Coachella. But since Swift split from her former boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris, and moved on with Hiddleston, she went back to her old style. And now, it looks like she’s also going back to her old hair.
