Calvin Harris found himself the butt of the joke during a recent run-in with comedian Howie Mandel.
Calvin and Howie’s pretty awkward exchange went down during Caesars Palace’s 50th anniversary gala in Las Vegas on August 6, according to Us Weekly, when the America’s Got Talent judge couldn’t help but jab Harris when it came to his former romance with Swift.
While presenting Calvin with the Future Icon Award at the Sin City award show, audience captured footage shows Howie ask the Scottish DJ, “That’s a nice suit. Who’s your tailor?”
Of course, Mandel was actually referencing Harris’s ‘Taylor’ and not his ‘tailor’ and joking about Calvin’s 15-month relationship with Taylor Swift which ended not-so-amicably earlier this year. “See what I did there?” Howie quipped.
Calvin and Taylor notably haven’t been on the best of terms since they broke up in late May, but it looks like Harris took Mandel’s Swift jab all in his stride and even playfully hit back at Howie following the pre-planned joke.
“You’d got that prepared!” Calvin told Mandel on the Las Vegas stage following the Taylor joke. “You had that one ready.”
Howie’s Taylor joke came just days after the internet was abuzz with rumors suggesting that Harris may have been taking serious aim at Swift with is new track with John Newman, “Olé.”
Calvin Harris may have been putting Swift on blast in the music video according to Cosmopolitan, who pointed out a number of scenes that appeared eerily similar to situations surrounding his ex-girlfriend following their fairly recent split.
The site pointed out that the music video shows a girl laying across rocks on a beach, just as Taylor was spotted sitting on a rock as she kissed actor Tom Hiddleston on the beach mere weeks after she and Harris split.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Calvin can be seen relaxing on outdoor furniture surrounded by a bevy of women, not too dissimilar from a recent Instagram snap uploaded by a friend of Swift’s showing her and Hiddleston getting seriously cozy after a beach trip while celebrating the Fourth of July.
Cosmopolitan also pointed out that Harris can then be seen walking on a secluded beach with a number of women, hinting that Calvin was referencing Taylor’s recent beach stroll with Hiddleston and his family captured by The Daily Mail.
Calvin is yet to respond to reports suggesting Olé is his way of taking aim at Taylor and has not officially commented on Howie’s recent Swift joke, although he has made it known on social media that he and Swift aren’t exactly amicable in the wake of their recent breakup.
Just last month, Harris went on a pretty scathing Twitter rant against his ex after it was officially confirmed that Swift had written his track “This Is What You Came For” under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg.
Calvin has since deleted his tweets, although People revealed that Harris certainly didn’t hold back when telling fans how he really feels about the revelation.
“[It’s] hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage,” Calvin tweeted in regards to Swift’s representative confirming that she was involved in the writing of the hit.
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex [boyfriend] down for something to do,” Harris the continued to Taylor, referring to her new romance with Hiddleston before reigniting her past feud with Katy Perry.
“I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” Harris wrote.
