‘The Bachelorette’: JoJo And Jordan Talk Wedding Dates!

Season 12 of The Bachelorette aired its final episode less than a week ago, and fans have been eager to hear details about JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers ever since. Episodes were filmed months ago, so there has been a lot of time for the relationship between Bachelorette JoJo and the winner of Season 12, Jordan Rodgers, to develop. Are they still together? There are always rumors of couples from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette having troubles after that final rose ceremony. JoJo and Jordan are no exception. Rumors are circulating, but judging by their sit-down interview with People, all is well. In fact the Bachelorette couple says they have talked a lot about a wedding date! And Jordan has one idea that JoJo says is absolutely a no-go.

Hollywood Life reported on some of what the Bachelorette couple shared about their lives currently and plans for the future when they appeared on After the Rose. Jordan spilled the news that they had bought a house in Dallas and that they would be moving in “right away.” That was great news to all the Bachelorette fans, but it wasn’t THE question they were waiting for Chris Harrison to ask. But he followed up with THAT question — are there wedding plans? Yes, they had been talking about dates. Bachelorette JoJo talked about a text conversation she had with Jordan’s mom.

“I was texting with his mom. I was like I don’t even know where to begin with this whole planning! She was like you gotta pick a date, you gotta find a venue! She’s been throwing ideas.”

The Daily Mail reported on a Good Morning America interview the couple did the morning after the finale of The Bachelorette. In that interview they confirmed that the date of their wedding has not yet been set but will probably be sometime next year. Will we all get to see it? Will it be televised? That question got a firm maybe in response. JoJo shared that a favorite scene of hers from The Bachelorette was the one where Jordan got down on one knee and proposed.

“I watched the proposal a couple times and was tearing up. It was such a beautiful moment then and just being able to watch it back was so amazing and beautiful to see. I mean, I cried. It was great for me.”

So what about that interview with People? Well, they still didn’t provide a date; it seems things have been too busy for them to settle down enough for that discussion. We learned a little about their difference of opinion on timing. JoJo said,

“The first time we talked about it, we said that we would want to do it… in March? Very soon.”

To which Jordan responded,

“And then there’s days we through where we’re just like ‘Well, let’s just go do it now.'”

Uh, not so fast there, buddy. This bachelorette isn’t having that.

“No, he keeps trying to say ‘Let’s go to Vegas,’ and I’m like, ‘That’s not how we’re doing the wedding. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.”

So Bachelorette fans will have to wait. Probably until next year sometime. And we may or may not get to watch it happen. Right now JoJo and her betrothed are just trying to settle into their lives and enjoy being able to go public with their relationship now that Season 12 of The Bachelorette is over.
