Jeff Lewis Says He Was Speechless After Hearing His Baby’s Heartbeat

Jeff Lewis announced earlier this summer that he was expecting his first child via a surrogate. He revealed that he and partner Gage Edward were expecting a baby girl in September and that they were very excited about becoming parents.

The two have talked about having children before, but the adoption process didn’t work out for them. The surrogacy route is something they just started exploring late last year, and it sounds like things happened rather fast. On Flipping Out, Jeff and Gage just heard the heartbeat for the first time, and it was very emotional for them.

According to a new 2 Paragraphs report, Jeff Lewis was surprised and shocked when he and Gage went to the doctor’s office for an ultrasound. This was the first time that they had seen the baby after getting a positive pregnancy test, and they were very excited. And Lewis, who is often outspoken, was actually speechless for a bit.

“When we heard the heartbeat, that was cool. That’s when I was like okay, there’s a baby in there,” Jeff Lewis revealed during last night’s episode of Flipping Out, adding, “I was a little speechless, I think.”

Of course, Jeff Lewis has experience with children. When he first started filming Flipping Out, he was often hanging around a young girl, and he took on the uncle role. He would teach her bad words, which ended up being a hilarious experience for the viewers.

Since he started dating Gage, the two haven’t had any children in their home, except Jenni Pulos’ daughter, Alianna. Even though Lewis doesn’t film with Alianna, it is clear that they do hang out based on Jenni’s Instagram account. And she believes that both Edward and Jeff Lewis will be great parents once their baby girl arrives in September.

“I think Jeff and Gage will be incredible fathers,” Jenni told the Daily Dish about her boss becoming a father for the first time, according to Bravo. “I think one may end up being more the disciplinarian, one may be a little more of the fun, but they both are amazing with Alianna, and she both loves them. And you can kind of see for different reasons, so I think that they’ll take that on as parents.”

Lewis and Edward are working a lot and are keeping busy. Both of them have said that the pregnancy is so exciting and yet so foreign. They have said that they are excited, but things will get real once the baby girl arrives. Jenni reveals that she’s sure they will be great once their baby girl arrives.

“Overall, I think they are so elated and nervous and terrified, which is all normal. But I think they just can’t wait,” Pulos told Bravo, adding, “They are the kind of people, both of them, that they aren’t going to get overexcited just until the day is finally here.”

And it sounds like she’s convinced that they will be great parents because they have experience with a young girl, as she does bring her daughter around the guys when they aren’t filming Flipping Out.

“I think they both really enjoy their time with my daughter, so I can only imagine when they have their own,” Jenni adds in her conversation with Bravo, adding, “They want to be there. They love it. They soak it in. They want to play games with her.”

Jeff Lewis and Gage are expecting to welcome their baby girl into the world this September, which means they only have a few weeks left before their surrogate can go into labor.
