Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Are ‘Making It Work’ As Pregnancy Rumors Swirl

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are both extremely busy with their careers, but according to a source, they are doing their best to make their relationship work despite the challenges of their hectic schedules.

As Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton continue to face rumors of an engagement and a pregnancy, a new report has shared details of their romance.

“Now that [Gwen Stefani] is on the road touring, keeping the romance alive with Blake has been a real challenge,” a source told Hollywood Life on August 1. “She’s on the road a lot and he’s doing a lot of shows and appearances too so they don’t get to see each other as much as when they first fell in love. It’s a lot of hard work and they are struggling cause they don’t get to see each other as much as they would like to.”

Gwen Stefani’s This is What the Truth Feels Like tour kicked off last month, and around the same time, Blake Shelton began filming scenes for the upcoming 11th season of The Voice with his co-stars, including Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, and Miley Cyrus.

While “the honeymoon part of relationship is over and the reality of their busy careers is setting in, they try to meet up on the road whenever they can and they are making it work,” the source explained.

Just weeks into Gwen Stefani’s tour, Blake Shelton has attended a number of her shows, and during one particular performance in Virginia, the country singer hopped on stage, where he and Stefani treated her audience to a surprise performance of their hit duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Meanwhile, pregnancy rumors have continued to swirl, the latest of which claims Gwen Stefani is pregnant and expecting twin girls with her boyfriend of nearly one year.

“The buzz in [Blake Shelton, 40, and Gwen Stefani’s, 46] inner circle is that Gwen is four months pregnant, and that they’re expecting twins!” an insider revealed to OK! Magazine last week, according to a report by Hollywood Life.

“They’d been discussing their dreams of having a child together,” the source continued, adding that they knew that because of Gwen Stefani’s “age, the chances were slim that they’d be able to conceive without help.”

“Blake teared up when he found out! Of course it would be emotional news for anyone in his shoes,” the source gushed. “It was an emotional moment… He and Gwen are said to be a bit nervous, understandably, but elated. Their love has already been a whirlwind, and now they could be a family in one fell swoop.”

Gwen Stefani already has three children from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, but Shelton doesn’t yet have any kids of his own. Although Shelton was married to ex-wife Miranda Lambert for four years, they opted against starting a family and instead prioritized their careers.

While Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have starred on The Voice together for two seasons, Season 7 and Season 9, Stefani isn’t expected to play a part in the upcoming 11th season. For the past few years, she and Christina Aguilera had been alternating coaching roles on the show, but during Season 11, neither Stefani nor Aguilera will be seen.

During The Voice Season 10, as Aguilera reclaimed her role as coach, Gwen Stefani served as a series mentor and later took the stage with Shelton for a performance of “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”
