Madden 10 roster update will see Favre as a Viking

You’ve heard the news, right? From this day forth, Brett Favre will be a Minnesota Viking. But hey, don’t panic, new owners of the just-released Madden NFL 10: your product will still be all new and shiny. In a matter of hours, actually.

That’s because publisher EA will be releasing a new roster update for Madden 10 on August 19th, one that includes Favre, who’s about 87, in his smashing new purple threads. That should piss Ted Thompson off some more. Probably also worth mentioning: former Atlanta QB (and Madden cover boy, no less) Michael Vick will be appearing for the Philadelphia Eagles. Yay for pixellated accuracy.

Does this mean Madden NFL 10 may wish to revise its predictions for this year’s Super Bowl? Haha… no.
