Kate Middleton and Prince William will be making their way back to Canada this fall, announced the country’s governor general, David Johnston. In their second visit to Canada, the duke and duchess will be touring British Columbia and Yukon, reported the Huffington Post British Columbia.

“Their Royal Tour will take them to the beautiful province of British Columbia and the scenic territory of Yukon. Our true Canadian pride and spirit will shine and be at the very heart of this visit so they can feel at home.”

Johnston and his wife, Sharon Johnston, said they were “delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canada,” explained CBC News.

Kate Middleton and Prince William were invited to Canada by the country’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, earlier in July. Trudeau encouraged the duke and duchess to bring their children with them on the royal visit. It still remains unknown as to whether or not Middleton and the prince will be taking their kids on the Canadian tour. This will be the first time the royal couple will be visiting the country since becoming parents to Prince George and Princess Charlotte. A detailed trip itinerary will be announced soon, said the governor general.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s latest trip to Canada will be different from their previous visit, reported the Huffington Post British Columbia. The first time the couple went to the country in 2011, the royals visited Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Alberta, Quebec, and the Northwest Territories. The duke and and duchess also went to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day on Parliament Hill.

On Wednesday, a spokesman for Kensington Palace made a statement about the royal couple’s upcoming visit.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to be returning to Canada. They hold very happy memories from their visit in 2011 — their first overseas tour as a married couple. They are really looking forward to seeing other parts of this beautiful country and having the opportunity to meet many more Canadians along the way.”

When Kate Middleton and Prince William last went to Canada as newlyweds, their visit drew “hundreds of thousands of spectators” during the nine-day tour, reported CBC News.

The Canadian prime minister feels as if this visit will be a wonderful opportunity for the duke and duchess to learn about the country’s rich culture and history.

“This royal tour, the second undertaken by Their Royal Highnesses to Canada, also presents a unique opportunity for Canadians of all backgrounds to meet with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and learn more about our heritage, traditions, and institutions.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s fall visit to Canada is nearly perfect timing for the 150 anniversary of the country’s confederation. The Chairman of Monarchist League of Canada Robert Finch explained that his country’s citizens are “hugely appreciative” of the duke and duchess. Finch also discussed the nationalism that surrounds the upcoming 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation.

“The timing of the homecoming is ideal to raise fresh awareness of the significant year of 2017, the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation: a time to be extra proud of our institutions and all the good things that, together, Canadians have built and are accomplishing.”

Governor General Johnston added that the duke and duchess’ visit to their country will give the royals a good opportunity to get to know Canada’s citizens better. Prince William and Kate Middleton will be meeting civilians who work in the volunteer sector, serve in the military, government officials, honored veterans, new members of Canada’s first national family and everyday citizens, as they explore the country.
