“Finally, the princess has arrived to Prada Canton Road store, Hong Kong,” said Kris Gap on Instragram. He was present with Song Hye-kyo during during the launch. With the growing popularity of Descendants of the Sun, Song Hye-kyo established herself as an actress who can portray a wide range of emotions. This military drama spotlighted the best attributes of Song Hye-kyo, so much so that she set her very own fashion statement across. The make-up and cosmetics she used in the K-drama are selling like hot cakes across Asia, particularly in China.

A few months ago, a supermarket in Beijing spotted several students browsing an aisle featuring South Korean cosmetics brands. According to Korea Herald, cosmetics used by Song Hye-kyo are sought after by young women.

Spilling her beauty secrets to Malay Mail, Song Hye-kyo said, “I think using anti-ageing products really helps; the sooner the better, you know?”

“My mother told me it’s better to start using anti-aging products even at a young age. Especially since I’m an actress and I’m constantly under stage lights or exposed to a lot of sunlight,” said Song Hye-kyo.

Because of frequent filming, Song Hye-kyo’s face is constantly covered in make-up. “I usually fly abroad to shoot films and for interviews, so I spend a lot of time inside planes, and I feel that my skin gets very dry. To keep the skin moist throughout my travels, and within a tight schedule, moisture care is necessary. And skin ageing originates from dry skin. So before I go to bed, I use my Laneige Perfect Renew Regenerator, and sometimes, I use Water Bank Essence, too,” said Song Hye-kyo.

Song Hye-kyo is reportedly waiting to grab a brilliant movie role.

“I still have a lot of time left there will eventually be good reaction on the movie side,” she said.

Although she has appeared in a couple of movies, Song Hye-kyo’s big screen career has not scaled great heights yet. Considering she has kept herself fit, she might hopefully land a big role soon. Song Hye-kyo has acted in an American indie film, Make Yourself At Home. She has also been cast in a supporting role in the Chinese movie The Grandmaster, for which she learned Cantonese and mastered a bit of martial arts.

Song Hye-kyo too, on her part, has remained tight-lipped about her next project.

According to a report by IBT, the actress is taking it slow and is not in a rush to take up her next project.

“I have no idea yet. I did get a couple of offers, but I still can’t bring myself to read a new project. Rather than a drama, I think I may pick a movie,” said Song Hye-kyo.

Song Hye-kyo said that if she were to do a drama, she would be extremely picky about her role. The actress is keen on taking up a role that people will hold in their memories forever.

On the personal front, the actress has denied dating her Descendants of the Sun co-star Song Joong-ki. Her agency had made it clear in an official statement a couple of month ago that Song Hye-kyo is not dating Song Joong-ki.
