Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz Trash Talk Ahead Of UFC 202 On Conan And Fox Sports

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor 2 is coming next month at UFC 202, and the two fighters have been trash talking each other since the press conference.

Nate Diaz appeared on Conan to talk about his upcoming fight against “The Notorious,” who left a message for their rematch:

“I’m taking this contest very, very seriously,” Conor said. “I’ve flown in specific body types to replicate Nate’s skinny, tall frame. The boy won the lotto the last time. He knows it; I know it. Well, August 20th I get my revenge and I look forward to it.”

Fashion-conscious Conor takes a dig at Nate Diaz who is also spotted wearing a black t-shirt:

“I just hope he’s not up on that stage wearing that stupid black t-shirt that he’s never out of,” McGregor said. “The boy has been wearing that same damn t-shirt for the past 20 years or something.”

Diaz response alludes that the Featherweight champion got exposed and he will be victorious again at UFC 202:

“The truth came out and the truth will be Aug. 20 when it goes down again,” Diaz said.

McGregor is looking to avenge his first loss in the UFC when he fought Nate Diaz at UFC 196. Both fighters went up in weight to fight each other. Nate Diaz fights at Lightweight, and Conor McGregor fights at both featherweight and lightweight. However, he has not yet fought at lightweight in the UFC.

Nate Diaz, who was coming from a vacation in Cabo, Mexico, submitted Conor McGregor in the second round of the highly anticipated fight.

McGregor was preparing for a lightweight with former champion Rafael Dos Anjos and blames his preparation for his loss and his inefficient use of energy during the fight.

Many MMA analyst believe Conor McGregor was headhunting Nate Diaz looking for a knockout. Diaz is known for having a solid chin and high-level boxing.

In another interview on Whitlock 1-on-1 on Fox Sports, Nate Diaz explains why Conor McGregor should want to fight him again:

“If you don’t want to fight a guy who beat you, or show you’re better than the guy everybody thinks is better than you, then I don’t know what you’re in this sport for. Because that’s what I’m in it for. That’s what I was in it for in the beginning–to let everyone know I’m the baddest dude there is. That I’m the baddest m**********r there is.”

The general consensus among fighters is that you should want to avenge your loss and Nate Diaz believes this is what is driving Conor McGregor who was adamant that he has a rematch with the Ultimate Fighter winner.

Nate Diaz also spoke about Conor McGregor celebrity status, such as hanging out with Jennifer Lopez and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Diaz states that the UFC invested in Conor by pushing his Irish fan base. He makes a joke about Ronaldo’s tan and says it’s cool that an MMA fighter is recognized and appreciated by mainstream celebrities.

He says Conor McGregor is doing a good job representing the sport and does not have an issue with it.

Despite winning the most post-fight bonuses in UFC history and being a fan favorite, the organization never invested in building Nate Diaz’s name. Diaz feels that his victory over UFC’s biggest star forced them to recognize his accomplishments.

However, Diaz has been accused of not taking all his fights seriously. He missed weight against Rafael Dos Anjos, and some analysts suspect he doesn’t always fight to the best of his ability.

Nate Diaz has looked good in his last two bouts and is considered to be Conor McGregor’s greatest challenge.
