WWE News: Huge Update On Which WWE Titles Will Switch Brands

Once the WWE Draft finished up, WWE fan all across the world looked at the rosters as to who had the better group of wrestlers. The first two picks were Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Rollins went to RAW, while Ambrose is headed to SmackDown when the brand split is official this coming Monday. Going down the line of wrestlers that were taken, it’s easy to believe RAW got the upper-hand on SmackDown and Daniel Bryan.

Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Rusev, Charlotte, the New Day, and Enzo and Cass highlight the WWE’s flagship program. It appears that brand has more of a future, while Smackdown took John Cena, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, the Miz and Bray Wyatt. Three of those men are over the age of 35. Not to mention, RAW has the WWE Women’s champion, WWE Tag-Team champions, United States champion, and the new Cruiserweight Division.

All SmackDown has is the Intercontinental championship and the WWE title. After Sunday at WWE Battleground, all of those titles could switch brands, but it’s very unlikely that any will change except for the WWE title. Ambrose will be fighting two men that were drafted on the RAW brand, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Odds are Ambrose will lose the title, since he pinned Rollins clean on RAW. Reigns has very little chance to win his fourth WWE championship. Still, the odds are in RAW’s favor.

The big question all WWE fans are thinking is in line with where all of the belts will go, or if they will just duplicate championships so one brand has each one. However, according to Daily Wrestling News, an advertisement for Clash of Champions came out that highlights all of RAW’s“supposed” championships that will be on the line that night in Indianapolis.

“EVENT DETAILS
WWE Clash of Champions comes to Indianapolis for the FIRST TIME EVER!
The one night a year ALL RAW CHAMPIONSHIPS are defended! Don’t miss the action LIVE with:

“WWE Women’s Champion – CHARLOTTE
Intercontinental Champion – RUSEV
Tag Team Champions – NEW DAY
Plus,
ROMAN REIGNS
SETH ROLLINS
SASHA BANKS
AND MANY MORE!
*Talent is subject to change*”

Even though that bottom line should always be taken into consideration, advertisements normally aren’t far off from what actually takes place at WWE events. For example, the first episode of WWE RAW during the brand split is this coming Monday in Pittsburgh, and SmackDown stars are advertised for the show. The WWE hasn’t been doing a great job at clarifying what belts will be a part of which brand.

WWE Battleground will realistically be the only one that has these kind of ramifications, unless the WWE champion will go from brand-to-brand. WrestleZone.com has a radio advertisement from Philadelphia that highlights the roster after the brand split.

“Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, the New Day, the Usos, AJ Styles and Cesaro are all being advertised for the Smackdown live event taking place in Philadelphia after the WWE draft. As always, cards are subject to change, but the ads were as recent as yesterday.”

So, allow this to sink in quite nicely. Owens, Zayn, and Cesaro are all a part of the RAW brand. Even if that ad was printed and broadcasted before the WWE Draft, they wouldn’t promote half of their roster to be on the other brand.

WWE Battleground will be foreshadowing for where the WWE titles arrive and stay. Unless WWE officials don’t care about the consistency of the brand split and WWE Draft, decisions Sunday night will be the constant for quite some time. Watch out for the WWE championship, as rumors are saying two titles may not happen after all.
