Mila Kunis Discusses ‘Weird Attraction To Macaulay Culkin’ Prior To Split, Why She Never Married Actor
Mila Kunis has opened up about her nine-year relationship with Macaulay Culkin, describing the actor as someone who carried a weird attraction about himself.
The couple dated between 2002 and 2011 before Mila would eventually call it quits and move on with Ashton Kutcher. But according to Kunis, the time she shared with Macaulay was definitely special — not just for reasons concerning their love for one another, but the supposed odd attraction the Home Alone star had over his fans.
On her promotional tour to promote her latest movie, Bad Moms, Mila stopped by The Howard Stern Show, where she discusses her time with Culkin and what she learned from the relationship when she started seeing Kutcher in 2012.

“He was huge,” she gushes to Howard when talking about the actor’s fame status at the time, DigitalSpy quotes her saying. “You couldn’t walk down the street with him. He always had this weird attraction, like fans just screamed when they saw him! They didn’t know how to react. It wasn’t like a normal response to a celebrity.”
At the time of their split, reports suggested that Mila’s supposed fear of getting married contributed to the couple’s decision to go their separate ways, which seemed odd for fans to hear since Kunis has now gone on to marry Ashton Kutcher.
In her interview with Howard Stern, Mila is questioned on whether she ever saw herself wanting to settle down and marry Culkin considering their lengthy relationship. “Honestly, who knows?” she replied, TIME continued.
“But I know since before we started dating, since I was like, 16, I told my dad, ‘Just so you know, I don’t believe in marriage.’ And my dad’s like, ‘What did I just create?’ And then at one point I was like, ‘I’ll get married when gay people are allowed to marry.’ I was like, ‘This is not for me!'”

Explaining her journey to finally giving into the idea of marriage and children, Mila explained that her romance with Kutcher had a rather awkward starting point, admitting that the twosome were friends with benefits for a couple of months before taking on the relationship title.
Mila laughs at the idea of how things have worked out for her with Ashton, especially since the movies they were promoting at the time were exactly what they were going through in their personal lives at that time.
Mila Kunis confirmed earlier this year that she is expecting her second child with Ashton Kutcher, with reports claiming that the baby’s arrival could be expected near the Christmas season.
As for Macaulay Culkin, since his split from Mila, the actor went on to announce his retirement from Hollywood and anything related to films and television. His net worth still stands at an impressive $15 million, thanks to the earnings the likes of Home Alone continue to make in revenue shares.
