Kim Kardashian Blasts Taylor Swift: Kanye West Feud Is ‘Just Another Way To Play Victim’
A Keeping Up With The Kardashians preview was released for an episode airing on July 17, and Kim Kardashian did not hold back on her thoughts in regards her husband, Kanye West’s current feud with Taylor Swift. Kim sat with big sister, Kourtney Kardashian, to vent her frustrations about Taylor Swift. Kim K recaps her latest interview with GQ magazine and claims Taylor Swift has played up her feud with Kanye West for public sympathy. Kim actually says Taylor claimed to inform the press of her involvement in the “Famous” song and music video.
“I never talk sh** about anyone…like publicly…especially in interviews, but I like so had it…I just felt like I wanted to defend him in it [in the interview].”
Kim makes a very strong statement, saying Taylor Swift “legitimately, quote said…” she gave her blessings to Kanye in regards to his “Famous” lyrics. The Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West feud has reached new heights after Kanye included lyrics regarding Taylor in his new music video, “Famous.” The song is off the rapper’s Life of Pablo album, and contains the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex…Why? I made that b—-h famous.” West said he spoke with Taylor in advance saying she “thought it was funny and gave her blessings.”
“As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet, I’m gonna tell all the press…I was in on it.”
The camera quickly scans to big sis Kourtney when Kim says Taylor claims she was apart of the entire “Famous” video fiasco. Kourtney finishes Kim’s statement in the form of a question by saying, “And she just didn’t like the reaction?” Kim, obviously upset continues to say Taylor is just playing victim.
“Yeah and, just another way to play victim. It definately got her a lot of attention the first time.”
This statement could be in reference to the first controversy Swift had with Kanye West back in 2009.
Taylor Swift and West’s beef dates back to the MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye interrupted the Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech. This moment went viral and has been parodied many times, including by Kanye himself. Kanye and Taylor are said to have reconciled, yet Kaye’s new “Famous” music video took their feud to new heights.
Kim continues to say she doesn’t think Kanye should be “punished for it still to this day.” Kim continues to says he’s had it with the way Kanye has been portrayed in the media.
“I just think I’ve had it with people blatantly treating my husband a certain way and making him look a certain way.” This “certain way” Kim speaks of has yet to be defined.
Kim sits on the couch telling Kourtney Kanye has always been honest and speaks his mind. Kim narrates, “when we first started dating, everyone talked sh** about me and he always had my back.” Kim stands firm that she will do whatever it takes to protect her husband.
Kim then admits Kanye “hurt” Taylor when he interrupted her acceptance speech, then justifies Kanye’s behavior.
“Yeah, he hurt her years ago when he did that. It wasn’t meant to be personal, it could’ve been anyone. ‘Cause like we all know, “Single Ladies” was the biggest song of the year. So I think when she [Beyoncé] didn’t win, he just like, wanted to stand up for it.”
Kourtney praises Kim for telling what she believes to be the truth.
The bomb drops when Kim says Kanye called Taylor who was so amped about the project, she helped him rewrite what is assumed to be the lyrics, as the audio cut off before Kim could say “lyrics.”
