Kylie Jenner’s ‘Dramatic’ Short Hair: Is It Because Kylie Is Pregnant?

Kylie Jenner’s hair changes all the time, from long to short, to straight to luxurious waves and fancy updos. The new hair style that Kylie just debuted on her fave social media platform, Snapchat, is the KUWTK star’s “shortest hair yet.” According to Hollywood Life, the “beauty buff” went for a brand new look this time when she visited her stylist on June 14, and it’s a “major hair makeover.” Kylie’s fans are used to seeing new hair looks, so they don’t mind the extreme chop. In fact, Jenner fans are loving the “dramatic” new bob!

One Twitter user went so far as to say that Kylie with a short black bob is life.

Another fan admitted that the new style is hot, and used a flaming emoticon to emphasize her point, but also wrote that Kylie slays any hair style, not just the new short bob.

The “chic” new cut is not as new as it looks to fans. Kylie’s hair was shorter than it looked, because she nearly always used hair extensions. Her long locks flowing down her back weren’t even real, but her own natural hair was longer than the new cut. Until the big chop, the youngest Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had a “shoulder-grazing lob” and lengthened with the “waist-length extensions” that her fans have gotten used to seeing. Even as recently as her cover shoot for Allure, Kylie still hung on to her long hair extensions.

Jenner took a lot of time and care to make sure her hair was ready for the big changes in store. She dealt with removing the extensions the night before and luxuriated in a “deep conditioning treatment” to fix damage that might have been caused by the extensions. When she and her hair had enjoyed a good night’s rest, Kylie took herself off to celebrity stylist Tokyo Stylez for the big cut. Tokyo has a long history with Jenner, and “always makes her rainbow wigs.”

Tokyo worked her scissors magic on Kylie’s locks as only Tokyo can, and snipped off “several inches” of glossy hair to turn the shoulder length locks into the now famous chin length bob, angled at the front.

The Hamilton Spectator reported that Kylie was so excited about the new bob that she documented it step by step at the hairdresser. She took pics of her tresses disappearing and floating down to the floor, captioning one on Snapchat, “Bye hair!”

It’s only a few days since Jenner’s big sis, Khloe Kardashian, took the plunge and turned her long style into a short bob. The overall look is different from Kylie’s new chop, with Khloe, age 32, turning to “beachy waves” for her style, but it could be that Kylie took a lead and a bit of “beauty inspo” from Khloe.

In the interview with Allure magazine that Kylie and Kim did together, Kylie “gushed” over the way she relies on her big sisters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian, to guide her own beauty decisions.

There’s lots of speculation as to why Jenner would choose this moment to get a shorter cut. After all, summer is the time for braiding hair up and keeping it off your face and neck. A bob is short and light, but it still has all those irritating ends that feel so hot and uncomfortable when they stick to your neck and blow onto your face. But along with the hair cut news, there’s yet another rumor that Kylie is pregnant.

According to gossip mag, In Touch, there could be truth to the rumor that Kylie is pregnant. and Jenner could finally be “getting her happily ever after” of pregnancy with Tyga’s baby. There’s a long standing tradition that women cut their tresses during pregnancy to conserve energy for the baby, or sometimes just because they want to do something to feel better in their expanding bodies.
