Luis Ortiz Writing A Book: Will He Talk About ‘MDLNY’ And Real Estate?
Luis Ortiz surprised everyone when he decided to retire from real estate and quit Million Dollar Listing: New York on the season finale. Luis had just started real estate in New York a few years ago and had hustled to make his way to the top. He was granted chances that not many people get and he was psyched about how he was progressing in the real estate market. When he was working as a real estate agent, he was writing a book. And since his co-star, Fredrik Eklund, wrote a book about selling, many people believe that Luis’ book will be related to real-estate.
According to a new Bravo report, Luis Ortiz is now revealing that his book may change direction now that he’s quit real estate and he isn’t planning on working on Million Dollar Listing: New York. These days, Ortiz is spending time in Europe and he has no plans of returning anytime soon. In fact, it is possible that Luis will put the book idea on hold for now, until he finds out what his next passion is.
“I’m in a good place to understand exactly the message I want to put in the book. And the book, I swear, I tell you, it’s going to be amazing. I really believe in the message a lot and it makes sense,” Luis Ortiz explains to the Daily Dish about his upcoming book, according to Bravo, adding, “It’s kind of like the way I’ve been living for a while and it’s gotten me to a very happy place. I want to share that.”
It sounds like the book won’t be about Luis Ortiz’s personal experiences about real estate. Instead, it sounds like the book will be more about his life and finding happiness. Surely, he has plenty of stories to pull on, as he has struggled with relationships and being alone. While filming Million Dollar Listing: New York, Ortiz revealed that he was scared of getting attached to someone, because he was scared of losing himself in a relationship. But it sounds like love isn’t the answer he wants people to take away from his book.
“The book is really about the importance of getting to know yourself in order to be happy,” he said. “And when you’re happy everything else will come: money, success, and respect. You just need to be happy first and all those things will come and then you decide whether or not [they] are important to you.”
No word on when this book will be available and it sounds like Luis Ortiz isn’t writing the book while he’s spending time in Europe. He’s currently relaxing and trying to figure out what his next step is. When Ryan Serhant and Fredrik Eklund learned about his decision to leave real estate and Million Dollar Listing, they were surprised.
“I think they’re bummed, but they’re happy for me. Both of them are always going to have a special place in my heart. I give them both keys to two separate penthouses in my heart, south-facing [with] floor-to-ceiling windows. They’ll always be a part of my life and I think as I actually go into an industry, I think we will now talk differently because we won’t be rivals in real estate,” Luis Ortiz has revealed about his co-stars, according to Reality Tea.
Over the past couple of days, Ortiz has been sharing his journey through Europe on social media and he has even run into a few fans in Europe, who decided to wait at his hotel to grab a drink with him.
