Britney Spears Teases Big New Project Amid ‘Make Me (Oooh)’ Leak

Britney Spears is teasing a big new project on social media as snippets from her new music video for “Make Me (Oooh)” have allegedly begun to leak online.

Britney took to Twitter on July 11 to show off a clip of herself showing off her seriously toned body in a new teaser clip, which she coyly captioned, “Stay tuned… #TakeABow.”

The teaser shows Spears hitting the stage in a barely there cut-out black bodysuit and also gave fans their first listen to Britney’s upcoming new music in the form of a clip of the new track “Private Show.”

It’s thought that Britney’s big tease was in anticipation of her new perfume, also called Private Show, which Spears previously revealed was named after a track on her as-yet-untitled ninth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.

Speaking to E! News about the song earlier this year, Spears teased that the track is “really cool” and admitted that she just “clicked” with the song’s writer, Carla Marie Williams.

“I had a really, really cool song that I worked with on my album and the girl was amazing. She’s from London,” Spears told the website of the song “Private Show.”

“She came in and she’s like a wailer. She has really big vocal chops. I was like, ‘Let’s do something different’ and do a really, really cool song for the fragrance,” Britney continued. “It just made sense, and it was called ‘Private Show.’ It clicked.”

However, fans are also speculating that Spears’ sexy social media video could be in anticipation on her upcoming new music, including the single “Make Me (Oooh)” which is expected to drop imminently.

According to Breathe Heavy, while the official release date of Britney’s upcoming new single is still being kept under wraps, snippets and screen captures from the song’s music video have already begun to leak online.

Perez Hilton claimed to have already seen the full music video for “Make Me (Oooh)” in a Facebook video, telling fans that the single sounds like a Selena Gomez song.

Describing Britney’s first single from her ninth studio album as being a “mid-tempo jam,” Perez admitted on the social media site that Gomez had “influenced Britney Spears and her new song.”

It’s still unclear exactly when Spears is planning on officially dropping “Make Me (Oooh),” but a recent report by the Daily Star suggested that the song, Britney’s first since she release “Pretty Girls” with Iggy Azalea last year, could be hitting the airwaves as soon as July 15.

According to the site, Britney and her team “will finally drop ‘Make Me (Oooh) on Friday June 15” after months of delays.

It was first thought that Spears could drop the single back in May to coincide with her performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, however, the Las Vegas Sun’s Vegas Deluxe later claimed that “technical difficulties” meant that Britney would not be debuting the track at the big award show.

“There’s no point in Britney previewing it so far in advance if we don’t even have a new release date yet,” an insider close to Spears told Vegas Deluxe at the time, adding that Britney was “truly saddened” that “Make Me (Oooh)’s” official release had been postponed.

At the time, Vegas Deluxe claimed that “Make Me (Oooh)” would officially drop “later in the summer,” but admitted that “we don’t even know exactly when yet until production hiccups are resolved.”

Neither the site nor Britney’s team have officially offered up a new release date despite E! News paying Spears a visit while shooting the song’s music video earlier this month.
