‘Mr. Robot’ Spoilers Season 2 Episode 1: The Fall Of Society [Video]

Mr. Robot was by far the very best new show on cable television in 2015. But Season 2 of Mr. Robot is about to deliver a whole new payload that may just be fighting against itself with this next chapter that is going to shock fans to the core.

If there is one thing that Mr. Robot is truly about, then hacking is only a small part of it. Although Mr. Robot is entirely based around the world of hacking, it uses it for vigilante justice in the world of financial terrorism by elite banks, especially the ones that are “too big to fail.”

In Season 1 of Mr. Robot, the fictional hacker group known as “fsociety” successfully hacked and encrypted all of the financial data at Steel Mountain, which is the stronghold of the biggest financial firm in the world, E Corp, or Evil Corp, as Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) referred to them.

But now that fans of Mr. Robot have already seen everything that happened in Season 1 of the show, it’s time to see what is about to happen in Season 2. According to TV Guide, Mr. Robot Season 2 is going to open up on Elliot trying to reboot himself in a weird sort of way. His seclusion will be something that is an attempt to figure out all the parts of his life that he had divested from his conscious mind, and only “encrypted” into the mind of his alter ego, Mr. Robot, which is portrayed in Elliot’s mind as his dead father, Edward Alderson.

What fans of Mr. Robot may already know is that he is going to take a trip home and see mom, which can have some repercussions of its own considering how Season 1 of Mr. Robot portrayed her as an uncaring and scornful woman.

If you watched Season 1 of Mr. Robot already, then you know that most of the show is seen through Elliot’s eyes. He likes to talk to the viewers through off-screen narratives, which seem to indicate fans are hearing his thoughts. He even addresses his viewers and calls them his imaginary friend. Fans were made part of the show when Elliot had asked them if they “knew” about this, which was when he was referring to the part about Mr. Robot being his dead father that existed only within him. That was also the part in Season 1 where he found out that Darlene was his sister, which only came back to him after he had kissed her and saw her reaction.

Season 2 of Mr. Robot is also going to see Angela (Portia Doubleday) sinking further into the abyss at Evil Corp. She has found some sort of calm with her new job at the Evil corporation that she had just previously found herself battling following the revelations that her mother died because of their reckless actions and cover up. Now, she is deeply embedded within the company, and it does not even seem like Mr. Robot himself can save her, since her decision is based firmly outside of the realm of cyberspace. One thing that Mr. Robot fans know for sure is that she and her father are drowning in debt, and they cannot seem to get away from it.

But the consequences from Season 1 of Mr. Robot will be another reason that fsociety comes back together to ready yet another payload, but it is unclear at this time who or what their target is.
