Was Alton Sterling Killed Because Of Someone Else’s Wrongdoing? Here’s The Bizarre Plot Twist You Haven’t Heard About

Alton Sterling’s death has sparked nationwide outrage as people are growing tired of police brutality and the blurred lines of racism. Although the series of events that led to Alton’s death are still vague, there’s a new perspective being discussed by local citizens — the 911 call.

Apparently, the 911 caller may have played a major role in the horrific scene that unfolded. Now, there’s another question to consider: Was Alton Sterling killed for someone else’s wrongdoing? Here’s an analysis of the significance of harassment in the scene that unfolded on that fateful July 5 morning.

According to CNN, Alton Sterling had words with the homeless 911 caller prior to Baton Rouge police officers Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II arriving at the scene. Although officers were dispatched based on accusations of Alton Sterling threatening the 911 caller, what media outlets haven’t reported was the other side of the story.

It has been reported that the homeless 911 caller actually harassed Alton Sterling. The two reportedly had words when the homeless man asked Alton for money. Alton told him no and asked to be left alone, but the homeless 911 caller was persistent.

As he continued to harass Alton, he said, “I told you to leave me alone.”

When the homeless man continued to bother Alton, that’s when he flashed his gun. Apparently, the homeless man felted compelled to make the 911 call after he harassed Alton Sterling, according to the Daily Beast. When he called 911, he reportedly gave the impression that he’d been arrested without probable cost.

For those wondering how he contacted 911, many low-income citizens in Baton Rouge are eligible for government-assisted cell phones. Although it’s unclear how he used a phone, having a government-assisted phone is a possibility.

When the police officers arrived, Alton Sterling may have been immediately confronted without officers speaking to both parties involved, which raises concerns about why the surveillance footage is being withheld. Since the surveillance camera captured activity outside of the store, shouldn’t the verbal confrontation have been included? Is there something else the department doesn’t want the public to see? Was Alton Sterling killed as a result of someone else’s wrongdoing?

The store owner, Abdullah Muflahi, admitted that the police officers confiscated the surveillance footage without his consent, which is why he refused to turn his cell phone footage over to the police department. Does that footage contain incriminating content that could lead to charges for the officers? Unfortunately, the public has no way of knowing what’s going on. As of now, all citizens can do is protest and hope for a fair investigation.

No charges have been brought against Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II, but details about previous complaints they’ve received have been reported. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, both officers have received complaints for use of force. They are no strangers to being involved in physical altercations with suspects.

Although many local citizens have reservations about the investigation, Gov. John Bell Edwards has assured residents that the investigation will be carried out properly.

“We’re not abdicating anything,” the governor said, adding that “we’re making the best decisions to make sure that the situation remains under control here in Baton Rouge and that we don’t experience any more upheaval… in our communities here in Baton Rouge and around Louisiana.”

The investigation into Alton Sterling’s death has been turned over to the Department of Justice and will be ongoing. More updates will be made available as details are released. The shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile occurred just days before the horrific shooting in Dallas, Texas, following a protest. It has been reported that 10 Dallas police officers were shot and five of those victims were fatally wounded. Hopefully, the violence will cease, but it doesn’t look like things will wane anytime soon.
