Kylie Jenner Over Fame? ‘I’m Not Supposed To Be Famous!’

Kylie Jenner’s fame has skyrocketed in the past few years. Since Kylie has come-of-age and followed in her sisters’ entrepreneurial footsteps, it’s been hard to go anywhere without seeing Kylie Jenner. Her Kylie Lip Kits sell out within minutes of being stocked. Who can forget the Kylie Jenner lip challenge? In fact, Kylie’s early success has been so staggering that it reportedly tanked her relationship with 26-year-old rapper Tyga. For much of the past few years, Kylie Jenner has been the toast of the town. Who wouldn’t want to be Kylie Jenner? As it turns out, Kylie Jenner doesn’t want to be Kylie Jenner. At least, not the version of her that is famous.

In a new clip from this week’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner daughter had a heart to heart chat with her sisters Kim and Kourtney. As the three women lounged on plush backyard furniture, Kylie turned the conversation in a serious direction.

“Some people are born for this life, and some people aren’t, and I just know I’m not supposed to be famous. Like I can feel it deep down inside.”

Kylie’s admission shocked and saddened Kim Kardashian West, but the eldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney Kardashian, not only understood her baby sister’s point of view, she also agreed with it.

“I’m not either for sure. I can handle it, I just don’t give a sh*t.”

Kylie insisted that she cares, but she can’t handle being famous.

The news that the youngest adult member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan doesn’t want to be famous might shock some, but it’s been a long time coming.

According to TMZ, several creepy male fans have shown up at Kylie’s house uninvited, unannounced, and totally unwanted. Fortunately for Kylie, she and her sisters live in The Oaks, an upscale gated community in Calabasas, California. None of Kylie Jenner’s would-be admirers got anywhere near the 18-year-old reality star, but that hasn’t stopped her from putting her house on the market. However, even selling her house has been a scary experience for Kylie. It seems that twice in June 2016, an unidentified man arrived at the gate of The Oaks and claimed that he was there for a meeting with Kylie, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian. Both times security refused to let the man into the community, and both times he rammed the gate with his car and sped away.

Kylie’s complete rejection of and inability to handle her celebrity status might be behind some of the 18-year-old star’s more questionable behavior.

According to Hollywood Life, Kylie shocked fans during a recent Snapchat video. While looking at sample nail art, Kylie pointed to a pair designed with an Egyptian theme and said: “this reminds me of my husband.”

Tyga, Kylie’s 26-year-old on-again, off-again boyfriend, has a well-known affinity for Egyptian imagery. He even named the three-year-old son he shares with Blac Chyna King Cairo. While it is unlikely that Kylie and Tyga tied the knot after their recent reunion, this isn’t the first time the couple has used such serious titles for one another. In 2015, Tyga shocked many when he referred to Kylie Jenner as his fiancé, and Kylie routinely sparked marriage rumors thanks to a penchant for gold rings worn on her left ring finger. Could Kylie’s struggle to handle her sudden fame and fortune be the reason behind her continuing relationship with Tyga?

Worry not, Kardashian fans, there is a silver lining. During the backyard clip, while Kourtney and Kylie insist they weren’t meant to be famous, Kim Kardashian West proudly said “I am” and winked to her sisters. It looks like the Kardashian-Jenner family fame is safe, as long as Kim Kardashian West has a say in it.
