WWE Rumors: Bayley, Carmella & Nia Jax All Bound For Main Roster Shortly After WWE Draft

NXT’s roster is overloaded with talent right now, so it is only natural that WWE officials are going to bring up many men and women from NXT to help with the WWE Draft and brand extension that is happening in less than three weeks.

It was revealed a little while ago that NXT stars American Alpha and Finn Balor are rumored to debut the moment the brand split is official. The former is a little bit of a surprise, but Chad Gable and Jason Jordan caught on in NXT so quickly and are more than capable of becoming a huge tag team on WWE television.

Balor is destined to become a superstar for WWE, and his debut has been rumored for months and months. He still has one more feud left in NXT against Shinsuke Nakamura, but he’s been ready for the main roster for a long time now. WWE just had to figure out the right time to transition him from NXT to WWE television.

Recently, there was an update that the powers that be would be calling up as many as ten to twelve stars from NXT for the brand split. As it turns out, one of the biggest divisions suffering a hit will be NXT’s Women’s division. According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, there is a lot of talk about bringing Bayley to the main roster, which isn’t a surprise. However, WWE is talking about bringing Carmella and Nia Jax to Raw or SmackDown from NXT as well.

Bayley’s transition to the main roster is the biggest no-brainer of the year. Many people were shocked when WWE kept her down in NXT after Wrestlemania 32. Bayley has been treading water on NXT programming, but it’s obviously only a matter of time until the powers that be give her the call.

The latest rumors about her main roster debut have Bayley sticking around in NXT until after NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II, which will leave her off Raw and SmackDown until after Summerslam. She could pull double duty as many have before her, but we’ll just have to wait and see what WWE has planned for one of the top faces in NXT history.

What’s more interesting is the decision to bring up Carmella and Nia Jax from NXT. WWE already had the option to bring up Carmella from NXT when Enzo Amore and Big Cass came up after Wrestlemania, but they wanted her to make it in NXT’s Women’s division on her own. She hasn’t done that much since then, so it seems the powers that be changed their minds.

On the other hand, Nia Jax could be a great idea or a bad idea. The way her character works in NXT is by dominance, which means she’ll have to run over the Women’s division as soon as she debuts on WWE television. In NXT, she’s had two chances at the NXT Women’s Championship, but she lost to both Asuka and Bayley. Her dominance in NXT has been questionable, so it’s possible that NXT and WWE officials have seen enough and think she’s ready for the main roster.

There is a lot more to this news than Bayley, Carmella, and Nia Jax all coming to the main roster from NXT shortly after the WWE Draft and brand split. A huge issue is making sure that calling up so many women to the main roster isn’t going to hurt NXT’s Women’s division and make sure it stays as strong as it has ever been.

It seems WWE is keeping Bayley in NXT specifically for that reason, so they’re trying to make sure the transition is smooth. The concern is about the future of Women’s wrestling since NXT has produced so many great talents over the past few years. The NXT Universe would be ashamed to watch all that hard work lead to WWE bringing the best of NXT just to help make the brand split work.

NXT will still have Asuka and the rest of the women. There will always be more talent coming into the brand. We just have to hope that NXT and WWE officials are doing right by the NXT Women’s division and losing Bayley, Carmella, and Nia Jax over the next few months won’t drastically hurt one of the biggest things that made NXT into the unique brand it is today.
