Kylie Jenner And Tyga Are Official Again, But Why?

Fans of reality star Kylie Jenner might feel like they are caught in a time loop this week. Kylie and the rest of Kardashian-Jenner clan were spotted at the premiere of Kanye West’s “Famous” music video on June 24. It’s not unusual for the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and their romantic partners to show up in force to support a family member. However, the “Famous” premiere event featured not one, but two former Kardashian-Jenner paramours, Tyga and Scott Disick.

According to Hollywood Life, 18-year-old Kylie Jenner and her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend, Tyga, arrived at the event arm-in-arm. While Scott Disick sat a row away from Kourtney Kardashian, a Snapchat video taken by Kylie’s older sister, Kim Kardashian West, showed Kylie and Tyga sitting next to one another at the event. The Snapchat video ignited rumors that Kylie and Tyga’s on-again-off-again relationship was back on.

Just when Kardashian-Jenner fans started to think that the Kylie and Tyga reunion was a one-time event, the supposedly estranged couple made another public appearance. According to TMZ, Kylie and Tyga enjoyed a night out at 1Oak in West Hollywood on Saturday, June 25. Photographs of the couple taken that night show Kylie Jenner riding on the passenger side of a blue Ferrari driven by Tyga. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Tyga presented Kylie with a Ferrari for her 18th birthday in August, 2015. Kylie later had the Ferrari painted blue.

Love them or hate them, it seems almost certain that Tyga and Kylie Jenner are back together once again. But questions remain about why the May-December couple separated again in the first place.

There was no shortage or rumors about the cause of the couple’s May, 2016, split. Some fan thought that Tyga sacrificed his relationship with Kylie to focus on his career. In fact, in an interview, Tyga mentioned that his relationship with Kylie Jenner had overshadowed his career. Others thought that Tyga and Kylie’s relationship couldn’t stand the pressure of Blac Chyna, Tyga’s former fiancé, joining the Kardashian-Jenner clan via her engagement with Rob Kardashian. Others thought that momager Kris Jenner pushed Kylie to break things off with Tyga.

Whether you think Kylie and Tyga’s reunion is a good thing or the worst thing to ever happen to the young reality star will ultimately depend on your opinion on why they broke up, whether they should be together, and the state of the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Ratings for the current season of the family flagship reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, have been down since the season premiere. Some of that might be situational, KUwtK airs opposite Game of Thrones the soapy, bloody, HBO fantasy series that frequently breaks ratings records. Some of the ratings slip is undoubtedly plot related. Kim Kardashian West is in a stable and supportive marriage despite frequent divorce rumors. Kourtney Kardashian’s rocky relationship with Scott Disick ended in July, 2015, and hasn’t shown any signs of rekindling. Recently, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s strained relationship took a turn for the worse thanks in no small part to his addictions.

While the Kardashian-Jenner sisters’ relationship statuses are great for their peace of mind, they don’t make for good television. Which leaves the Kardashian-Jenner family two options to give their sagging show a much-needed shot of romantic strife, Rob Kardashian or Kylie Jenner.

All signs suggest that the Kardashian-Jenner family can’t count on Rob and Blac Chyna to bring the drama next season. While Blac Chyna and the Kardashian-Jenner sisters seem to have reached a peaceful truce, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have been busy forging their own reality television path away from the rest of the family. Would Kris Jenner push her youngest daughter back into a relationship for ratings?

Whatever the reason for their split and reconciliation, one thing is certain, Kylie Jenner and Tyga are back together. At least for now.
