Kendall Jenner’s Fashion Risks: Goes Goth, Frees The Nipple, And More

Kendall Jenner has been taking on some huge fashion risks lately. The 20-year-old supermodel is used to showing off her body. So, it’s not entirely surprising to hear that Kendall recently freed the nipple when she was out and about in New York City.

Kendall Jenner just revealed that she still doesn’t feel comfortable with the paparazzi following her every move. Shortly after she was seen showing off her nipples and her nipple piercing while with her BFFs Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin, Jenner took to her website and app to express her frustrations with being young and famous.

“Living in the public eye can both build and test your confidence at the same time. Everything I do, everything I post and every picture that’s taken of me is judged by everyone. Getting papped all the time and having my picture posted everywhere is not always fun. And not every picture is going to be a good one. I make a weird face or turn the wrong way and, of course, that’s the one they’ll use! Those can be hard to look at, and they don’t always make me feel the best.”

However, Kendall Jenner looked pretty fierce on Tuesday, June 21 when she walked the streets of New York with her model friends. Kendall may or may not have accidentally flashed her nipples in the super-sheer black off-the-shoulder top that she wore with high-waisted, light-wash denim jeans and an olive green jacket. She finished off her look with black patent leather Kenneth Cole Crystal boots, a black choker, dark aviator sunglasses, and a black chain strap handbag.

Meanwhile, Kendall’s friends were also spotted wearing head-to-toe black looks. Gigi wore a black short-sleeve T-shirt with a black Hermes belt and flared jeans. She finished her look with a black mini bag, a black choker, dark round shades, and Stuart Weitzman Zepher booties.

As for Hailey, she missed the memo on wearing jeans. Instead, she opted for a little black dress with a peek-a-boo hem, dark sunglasses, a black leather handbag, and black platform boots.

Of course, Jenner also showed off her new accessory – her nipple piercing. She previously showed it off on Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat (above) back in April at Coachella. Jenner also took to her website/app to explain her reasoning for the racy new jewelry.

“Having my nipple pierced isn’t really something I make a big deal of, but I think people are obsessed with the topic because it seems so unexpected of me. Before I even decided to go for it, I just liked showing my nipples through some of my outfits; there’s something understated, yet sexy about it.”

The reality star also went goth in her new fall/winter 2016 campaign for Marc Jacobs. It’s hard to recognize Kendall in the new photos taken by David Sims. Kendall is seen rocking bleached eyebrows, crimped hair, black platform boots, and plenty of black eyeliner. Check out Kendall’s startling new look in Marc Jacobs’ Instagram post below, in which the designer refers to her as a “supermodel.” She joins a long list of Jacobs’ muses, including Cara Delevingne, Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, and Missy Elliott.

Kendall Jenner took another fashion risk earlier this week. She found a remedy for those days when you claim you have nothing to wear. Instead, you can look to your boyfriend’s closet or your oversized T-shirt that you wear to bed or the gym. You can turn it into a dress like Jenner did in another recent sighting.

She kept it cute and casual when she was spotted leaving a gym with Hailey Baldwin. Kendall was photographed wearing an oversized camouflage print T-shirt underneath a denim jacket paired with her dark aviator sunglasses and black chain strap bag that she wore with that racy shirt. This time around, however, Jenner topped off her look with a top knot and white canvas sneakers.

If you want Kendall’s shirt, you can get it for a cool $120, according to Teen Vogue. What are your thoughts on Kendall’s street style? Would you take it or leave it? Let us know in the comments section below.
