Floyd Mayweather Bets Big On Dallas Cowboys [Photo]


Floyd Mayweather has never been a silent better and with his latest wager, he has certainly earned bragging rights, raking in $181,818.20 on a $200,000 bet.

Mayweather, a champion boxer, posted an Instagram photo of his betting slip on Twitter, which showed hiis $200,000 bet on the Dallas Cowboys to win the second half against the Giants on Wednesday night, reports USA Today.

The Cowboys outscored the New York Giants 17-14 in the final two quarters of their game, so that Mayweather didn’t need the 1.5 points he was getting. For his $200,000 bet, Mayweather returned $181,818.20 in profit.

The champion boxer took to Twitter to prove the bet, saying:

“I bet the Cowboys second half $200,000. This is real. Not a rumor like Michigan.”

Floyd Mayweather’s tweet referred to the rumors that he wagered $3 million on last weekend’s Alabama-Michigan game. The Huffington Post notes that Tony Romo helped the Cowboys score their 24-17 victory over division rivals the giants, adding two of his three touchdown passes in the second half of the game.

Romo’s on-field success helped pave the way to Mayweather’s monetary success off it. Based on the wagers that Floyd Mayweather tweets, his nickname “Money” really does fit. And, while it’s clear the boxer’s gambling habits are successful, fans may be interested to know that Mayweather intends on returning to the WWE, according to The Bleacher Report.

During an interview with Peter Rosenberg of New York’s Hot 97 FM, Mayweather announced his WWE return, saying:

“I’m about to go back to the WWE. Yes. WrestleMania, yes. WrestleMania, I’ll be back.”
