Drew Peterson Found Guilty Of Killing Wife Kathleen Savio

Drew Peterson is guilty.

The former police officer was found guilty of murder today in the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio.

Mitch Doman, Savio’s brother-in-law, said:

“I knew it … Now I can go out there and say he’s a murdering bastard. You can print that. You can put it in a headline. It was like a big burden lifted off our shoulders. We knew he did it, but we couldn’t do nothing about it.”

The Chicago Tribune reports that the jury deliberated for about 13 hours before finding Peterson guilty of murder.

Savio’s nephew Michael Lisak said:

“Today we finally got what we wanted … Today is a day for battered women. My aunt’s voice was heard through the grave … She did not stop after she was murdered. For all you battered women out there, don’t stop, someone will listen.”

Peterson, 58, remains the lone suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy’s family, said that she hopes Stacy Peterson has her day in court soon.

Bosco said:

“This man always thought he’d get away with it. I don’t think he ever faced reality… Today he’s facing reality. He’ll never see the outside of a prison wall… No matter what he still has to pay the price for Stacy.”

According to CNN, Peterson faces 60-years in prison for the murder of Kathleen Savio.
