Katie Holmes ‘Terrified’ Over Tom Cruise’s Reaction Regarding Jamie Foxx Romance: Scientology Drama To Erupt?

Katie Holmes is worried about Tom Cruise’s reaction following the news that she is dating Jamie Foxx.

According to multiple outlets, the couple have been dating for some time. In fact, last summer, photos had emerged of Jamie and Katie holding hands together, which instantly had the internet speculating whether the twosome were hooking up.

Sources now reveal that Katie Holmes and Jamie were definitely already together at that point, but neither of the two ever confirmed their romance, deciding to keep it quiet for as long as they could.

When the news became official earlier this week, Holmes was said to have freaked out about it because she’s somewhat frightened of how Tom will react to the news, Hollywood Life reveals.

The 37-year-old actress is a little paranoid considering the fact that Jamie was more or less a friend of Tom’s before he decided to hook up with his pal’s ex-wife, who infamously left him after making claims that Scientology was beginning to ruin her life.

The religion, which Katie wanted nothing to do with in the months leading up to her divorce, was said to have tried to control Holmes’ parenting skills. Katie didn’t agree with the idea of having her daughter, Suri Cruise, so involved with Scientology at such a young age, and when it caused a big argument with Tom, it seemed clear that Tom was pretty much siding with his religion over his family.

Of course, there were other things that led to the couple’s split, but for the most part, the whole thing with Scientology trying to tell Katie how to parent her daughter, and allegedly instructing her how to behave when out in public with Tom, just became too much for her.

Jamie and Tom famously starred in the blockbuster movie Collateral. Their chemistry was everything a director could have hoped for — from there, the two were said to have become good friends, but to think that Foxx is now dating his friend’s ex-wife is bound to make Tom feel some type of way.

“It is not all rosy. They have very real fears of Katie’s ex, Tom, and his reaction,” a source dished. “In Mar. 2015, photos surfaced of Jamie and Katie holding hands and it kind of freaked them both out. Since then, they have worked extra hard to keep their love out of the public eye.”

As the insider already mentions, after the photos emerged last year, Katie Holmes and Jamie both decided that shying away from any sort of behavior that could lead to more speculation would be best for both of them.

In the end, Katie knew that her romance with Jamie would eventually come out, so there really wasn’t a way for her to keep this relationship in the dark any longer. From what sources have stressed, Holmes won’t know how to react when she comes face-to-face with her ex-husband again.

The twosome share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, so the next time Tom Cruise comes over the house to pick up Suri, Katie is already said to be dreading the thought of having to explain herself to her former partner. After all, Jamie and Tom were friends before she became romantically linked with the Django Unchained star.
