Charlie Sheen Celebrates His 47th Birthday

Charlie Sheen may be “winning” after all; the Anger Management star reached his 47th birthday on Monday. The enigmatic actor may be as well-known for his off-screen antics as he is for his popular television shows and movies, but, all-in-all, 2012 has been a pretty good year for Sheen. The FX network recently decided to order at least 90 more episodes of the baseball player turned psychologist comedy, Too Fab reports. The man portraying the show’s main character has managed to remain out of jail and rehab since filming started, a task not everyone thought the former Two and a Half Men lead could manage.

In addition to the success of the Anger Management series, Charlie Sheen also snagged roles in Scary Movie 5 and Machete Kills this year. The craziness which led up to the Major League actor’s 47th birthday appears to have subsided. Although the references to “tiger blood” and photos with his “goddesses” have not faded from memory, the alleged out-of-control behavior appears to have taken a backseat to professional endeavors.

The Wall Street actor will likely never be known as a choir boy, but he does deserve credit for never attempting to make excuses about his wild parting days. In this era of celebrity or politician denials when unflattering tidbits are unearthed, it is a bit refreshing to hear someone admit to their own flaws.

In honor of the 47-year milestone, some of the best Charlie Sheen quotes of all time:

“Look what I’m dealing with man, I’m dealing with fools and trolls.”

“I will not believe that if I do something then I have to follow a certain path because it was written for normal people, people who aren’t special, people who don’t have tiger blood and Adonis DNA.”

“I have one speed. One gear. Go. I dare you to keep up with me.”

“I get in trouble for being honest. I’m extremely old-fashioned.”
