Charlie Sheen Returns To TV Tonight In ‘Anger Management’

It’s been more than a year since Charlie Sheen’s highly public exit from Two and a Half Men, and tonight, television’s bad boy returns for his new show, Anger Management, on FX.

The new show, which is loosely based off of the Adam Sandler movie of the same name, will feature Charlie Sheen as anger management counselor Charlie Goodson.

CBS reports that Goodson and Sheen have a few things in common and the show uses a few real life incidents from Sheen’s life to drive the story of Anger Management.

For one, the first words out of Goodson’s mouth could have been said by Sheen when he was fired from Two And A Half Men. Goodson said:

“You can’t fire me, I quit. You want to replace me with some other guy, go ahead! It won’t be the same! You think I’m losing! I’m not!”

In the new show, Goodson is an ex-baseball player’s whose career ended when he angrily smashed a bat over his leg. Goodson is sent to anger therapy and eventually becomes an anger management counselor.

Anger Management debuts tonight on FX at 9 EST.
