Trump Stance On Immigration Angers Liberals But Could Give Him A Big Bump In The Polls

Donald Trump will suspend immigration from many countries after he is elected the next President of the United States, the presumptive Republican nominee said. Tens of thousands of Americans took to social media to voice support for the content of his speech after the Orlando shooting terror attack.

“When I’m elected I will suspend immigration from areas of the world where there’s a record of terrorism against the United States, Europe, and our allies,” Donald Trump said after the Orlando shooting by the self-avowed ISIS terrorist.

The outsider candidate, who defied all the odds to hit the 1,237 magic number of delegates to win the primary, has staunchly maintained immigration is a major concern for the American voter. Immigration is a privilege and not a requirement for the United States to allow, Donald Trump pointed out during his Orlando shooting speech.

The Republican presumptive nominee also took to Twitter to discuss the Muslim refugees and ISIS terrorism issue.

“Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism,” Trump tweeted.

“I don’t want congrats,” he also said when noting his steadfast desire to thwart another radical Islamic terror attack on American soil and to secure the borders.

Trump called for President Barack Obama to step down and “resign in disgrace” because he refuses to utter the words “radical Islamic terrorism,” the Washington Post notes.

During an interview with Fox News after the Orlando shooting, Donald Trump also had this to say about the ongoing ISIS threat in the United States.

“We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind. And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot — they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the ways he acts and can’t even mention the words radical Islamic terrorism. There’s something going on. It’s inconceivable.”

A Fox News terrorism expert revealed not only does the FBI have ongoing ISIS investigations in all 50 states, the federal agency recently made its 101st such arrest in New York.

Donald Trump firmly believes there are currently “thousands” of people who are already in the country who have not been properly vetted. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, FBI Director James Comey said the current background check and vetting procedure used by the Obama administration is woefully flawed.

Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton has vowed to continue Barack Obama’s Syrian refugees policy and allow more Muslim immigrants into the United States. During her post-Orlando shooting speech, Clinton focused heavily on gun control mandates she would like to enact and deemed AR-15 semi-automatic rifles “weapons of war.”

Trump also called for the release of the full immigration histories of anyone “implicated in terrorist activity” since the 9/11 attacks, Business Insider reports. The Republican said the public has a right to know how those possibly linked to terrorism got into the United States.

“We have to screen applicants to know whether they are affiliated with, or support, radical groups and beliefs,” Donald Trump added.

Donald Trump has promised to make correcting our “dysfunctional immigration system” a priority after taking the oath of office. He stated the current immigration screening procedures do not allow citizens to know who is allowed into the country on either a temporary or permanent basis.

“The only reason the killer was in America in the first place is because we allowed his parents to come here. That is a fact, and it’s a fact we need to talk about,” Donald Trump added.
