Chad Johnson Booted From ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Filming, ‘He Was Being Very Chad-ish’ [Photos]

Chad Johnson is one of the most talked about villains in the history of the Bachelorette, so it wasn’t a big surprise when he was confirmed as a contestant on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise. He didn’t find love with JoJo Fletcher, but in an obvious ploy to boost ratings, the Chad-bear got a second chance to be the center of attention on national TV.

It didn’t take long for Chad to settle in with his co-stars when filming started in Mexico earlier in the week, but the Chad-bear decided to spoil his own fate on the show, revealing that his villainous behavior got him a one-way ticket back to the U.S.A. after just a brief stint on ABC’s summer reality show.

According to a previous report from the Inquisitr, Chad was spotted en-route to Mexico on Saturday, June 4, just a few days before filming for Paradise got underway at what is rumored to be the location of last season’s show: the Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico.

Although the complete cast has not been revealed, the first ten contestants have been announced by ABC this week, followed a confirmation from Us telling fans what they already knew — Chad has joined the Paradise cast.

On Friday, this photo of Nick Viall was posted on Twitter, confirming that the runner-up from Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons is in Mexico filming a date with Leah Block (Ben’s season).

Contestants will come and go throughout the season, but it appears that Chad didn’t stick around long enough to find love or stir up too much drama. After his confrontational and often bizarre behavior on JoJo’s season of the Bachelorette, it’s not surprising to find out that he was cut loose after just a few days of filming Bachelor in Paradise.

On Friday, Chad returned to social media after a one-week hiatus, posting photos on Snapchat and Instagram that showed him awaiting a flight back to Oklahoma and hours later he was out enjoying the Tulsa nightlife with a friend.

“Sometimes, due to poor clothing color choices and hectic travel plans, life IS all blueberries and paper airplanes, ya know what I mean?” Chad captioned his Instagram photo, quoting a line from last week’s 2-on-1 date with JoJo and Alex on the Bachelorette.

According to Reality Steve, filming for Bachelor in Paradise runs approximately three weeks, so it’s not clear if Chad made it through one or more episodes before he returned home to Oklahoma, but the show’s creator, Mike Fleiss hinted that Chad didn’t tone down his villain image while on the show. Apparently that didn’t work out well for him, unless he simply went on the show for short-lived fame, not love.

According to ABC, the initial cast includes the former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants listed below, including more men from JoJo’s season, to be revealed closer to the August 2 Bachelor in Paradise premiere date.

Although Chad and Nick’s names are not on the ABC announcement, fans should see them added to the list soon now that their appearances have been spoiled online.

  • Jared Haibon (Kaitlyn’s season, Bachelor in Paradise season 2)
  • Twins Emily and Haley Ferguson (Ben’s season)
  • Leah Block (Ben’s season)
  • Lace Morris (Ben’s season)

  • Jubilee Sharpe (Ben’s season)
  • Sarah Herron (Sean’s season)

He also expects that more of Ben Higgins’ girls will show up in Paradise, including Lauren Himle, Jennifer Saviano, Jami Letain, and Shushanna Mkrtychyan from the Ben Higgins’ season of the Bachelor, and there is speculation that Joe Bailey, Josh Murray, and Jef Holm may make an appearance on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.

Watch the two-hour Bachelor in Paradise season premiere on August 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
