Boy Hugs Dog, Gets 2.4 Million Facebook Views: Watch Hollie Mallet’s Security Video Of Josh Breaux

The below video from the Facebook page of Hollie Mallet has received more than 2.4 million views. Uploaded on May 30, Hollie reached out to her neighbors in Louisiana to figure out who the little boy was that she caught on her security footage. For a welcome change, instead of doing anything wrong or nefarious, the little boy was seen in the security footage getting off of his bicycle and running into Mallet’s garage to pet and hug her dog.

As seen in the above video, Josh Breaux was revealed as the little boy who gave the dog secret hugs, reports ABC News.

Mallet turned to her neighbors in the small town of Pierre Part, Louisiana, because she didn’t know all of the neighborhood children. Hollie noted that she would sometimes see the little boy on the security video as he tossed a ball to her dog. Mallet discovered the video footage of Josh playing with the dog and told her husband to view the security video as well.

The Facebook page titled Hollie Breaux Mallet posted the video on May 30, where Hollie let her neighbors know that the little boy was welcome anytime to come play with her dog.

“Attn Neighbors! Anyone know who this sweet little boy is? Every now and then when he rides his bike he will quickly come and love on my dog or play fetch real quick, but always leaves quick like he doesn’t know if he should be here! I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play, she loves the attention!”

Duchess is the name of the dog who was receiving all the love and hugs from Josh.

As reported by the Daily Mail, it took less than one day for Josh’s mother to reveal that it was her son seen in the security footage performing the sweet and secret deed of giving the dog hugs. Ginger Clement Breaux posted a Facebook comment to let Hollie know that it was indeed Josh seen in the security video giving hugs to Duchess.

“Thanks for the add Hollie! Josh talks about your dog all the time! Every time we pass he looks to see if she was sitting where he could see her. Just didn’t know he was doing things like this. Last night when I first saw it, I was torn as a momma being happy and upset because he knows he shouldn’t be on someone’s property, but I wake up this morning more happy that he just absolutely adores dogs so much.”

The Facebook page titled Ginger Clement Breaux also left a comment on Hollie’s Facebook video that let Mallet know Josh’s reaction when Ginger told her son that she had a Facebook video she wanted him to watch. Realizing that he had been captured on camera hugging the dog, Josh turned red with embarrassment.

“He turned ten shades of red when I told him to watch a video that I found!”

The heartwarming story has touched a nerve among those who have seen the video and have been sharing it on their own Facebook timelines. Josh had a dog named Bella that the family enjoyed since Josh was a 2-year-old. However, Bella died in 2015, and his family has yet to get a new family dog.

Additional comments on Facebook between the two women show that they were happy that Josh was caught on camera doing something sweet and lovable. Selfies of Josh with the dog can also be seen in the comments section of the viral Facebook video. Josh explained his love for dogs as the reason for sneaking in the garage to hug Duchess.

“He’s alright! Lol. He had a big smile after and said, ‘You know I love dogs momma.'”
