‘RHOBH’ Casting Season 7 Rumors: Eileen Davidson Demoted, Yolanda Hadid Given A Bravo Ultimatum, And Kathryn Edwards Out?

The casting updates for Season 7 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are just starting to come to light. Eileen Davidson reportedly got the boot, at least partly. Bravo allegedly demoted her to a “friend of a Housewife,” which will give her much less airtime. Yolanda Hadid was not fired, but supposedly was given an ultimatum about her storyline. Kathryn Edwards was let go and won’t be seen at all in the series. Bravo didn’t feel like she was a good fit for them show.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Eileen Davidson was demoted to a “friend of the Housewives.” They speculated that the reason could be that the network couldn’t afford to pay her the money that she wanted. The RHOBH fans, however, know the real reason. Eileen brought nearly nothing positive to the table for the show, and it seemed she brought unnecessary drama and caused problems between Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump.

One of Davidson’s biggest problems on the show was her unwillingness to share anything personal about her life. She claimed she was an open book, but when someone asked her about her life, she immediately shut down. It was apparent from the start that reality TV was not the right platform for Eileen, and it looks like Bravo (finally) sees that too.

All About The Tea reported that Yolanda Hadid was told that they want her to pump the brakes on her Lyme disease storyline and share her quest for love on RHOBH. Apparently, Tamara Tattles falsely reported that Hadid was fired from RHOBH. Instead, she was given an ultimatum. Either she shares her journey to find love again on the show, or face a demotion or worse — lose her job.

Yolanda is now a single woman and needs her salary with Bravo. It seems unlikely she would be willing to give it up right now, and so the RHOBH can expect to see her doing whatever Bravo wants to save her job (and paycheck). A Bravo insider revealed that the network wants to “reinvent” Yolanda, and hope the viewers will respond.

“Bravo gave Yolanda an ultimatum — her storyline this season will be looking for love since she is recently single. Yolanda didn’t want to expose that part of her life to the public again, but in the end, she caved into Bravo’s demands because she wanted to be apart of the show for Season 7.”

Us Weekly reported last week that Kathryn Edwards will not be back for Season 7, and “probably” would not appear as a “friend of the Housewives,” either. The RHOBH viewers felt that Kathryn was not a good fit for the show, and seemed to avoid conflict–which is the different objective of the show. They want drama. They want conflict. And most of all they want to see some type of spark.

All About the Tea disclosed they had “heard” that Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Giraldi, and Kyle Richards would return for Season 7. Also, Kim Richards supposedly will pop in time to time in a handful of episodes. Bravo has not announced any new housewives yet, but should in the next few months. The cast is expected to begin filming in the next few weeks.
