One lonely pooch that has been stuck in shelters for most of her life is now going to be famous. Dubbed as Britain's loneliest dog, Freya is about to become a movie star thanks to film director Michael Bay. She has been officially cast in the upcoming movie, Transformers: The Last Knight.
The dog was discovered by Bay as he happened upon this story about the loneliest dog in Britain being rejected by reportedly over 18,000 potential owners. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the well-known director decided to give the four-legged animal a new lease on life. Freya is about to rub elbows with some of Hollywood's biggest stars and become a celebrity herself.
Freya, who is a 6-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, has been living in an animal shelter since she was 6-months-old in Liverpool, England. She came into the Freshfields Animal Rescue as a stray, and thankfully this one is a no-kill shelter, or this story may not have had a happy ending.
